I did not look around me for things that seemed out of place. I tried to create an "error" myself by taking unsharp and underexposed images.
A crash assignment means you go to school, get a subject, shoot for max 2 hours, come back to school and show your image(s).
Actually, MA 12 in Oxford, Massachusetts! Oxford doesn't seem to have the best contractors because these are very old and haven't been replaced. Taken on June 6, 2018 in Oxford, MA.
More works from my Zbrush class over at Gnomon; we learnt to use zspheres last week and had to do a full character (as opposed to a bust) with the zspheres... definitely a super fun exercise.
I use zspheres a lot for secondlife but mostly for animals and never a humanoid creature, so this was definitely a challenge to get right. There's proportional errors with this piece that I hope to continue fixing up in the future!
I made a rather silly and basic error on my last hike.
Recently I have started to download a copy of the most appropriate OS map for my hill walks. I take along a phone charger and have been able to use the phone facility easily wherever I have been. On this hike though I purchased an additional map for part of my proposed route. When it came to starting the walk I tried to open the map and realised that I had no phone reception which meant that I couldn't download the map. If I had done that a before I lost reception I would have been fine.
The consequences were that for the first few miles I had no map and would be hiking in an area I wasn't used to. I had good visibility so knew that a I had to walk the track past the youth hostel in Ennerdale and then somehow make my way to the skyline ridge I could see towering above to my left. A walk across the riverside meadows was straightforward and crossing the River Liza meant wet feet but that was reasonably easy. Once on the far bank I came across this delightful pond at Moss Dub (the only time my camera came out of my rucksack) but then had to enter the Ling Mell plantation to make my bee-line ascent towards the ridge.
There were no paths in the coniferous plantation, it was particularly steep and dark, but the main obstacles were the old fallen trees that I had to climb over, under or through. All of the time scratching myself on their dead spiky branches. The seven hundred feet of ascent that took me fifty minutes to negotiate was probably one of my worst hill experiences. I tried my best to climb in a straight line and as long as I continued climbing as steeply as possibly I knew that I would emerge out onto the open moorland above somewhere near where I had intended. I emerged a bloody sweaty wreck.
The lesson to myself is twofold.
a). Don't rely totally upon electronic navigation devices.
b). Stick to a path wherever possible.

I headed over to the beach after work on Tuesday because the sky was looking interesting. I pulled out my camera just before this moment and I got an message on my Canon screen that said "Error 20." I couldn't get it to take a picture and I was so frustrated. This is an unedited photo with my iPhone. $470 later my camera will be ready for pick up on Monday.
So before bringing out the next issue of Mandalorian, I want to give some insight in the history of the Falcone Crime Family.
It began when Vincent Falcone ruled Gotham city at its peaks and everything went well. He father two children, Carmine and Carla. The two of them were almost immediately inducted into the family business. At one night however, Carmine was shot during a meeting gone wrong with the Five Families. Things escalated when Stefano Mandragora wouldn't let the Falcones join and they had to flee. Vincent brought his son to the best surgeon in the city: Thomas Wayne. Thomas patched Carmine up and saved his life, something he would've regretted if he would still be alive. A few decades later and Carmine Falcone is now leading the Falcone Crime Family in Gotham, with his sister (now married and taken the last name Viti) setting up in Chicago with her two children Johnny en Lucia who are also part of the business. Carmine fathered three children. From oldest to youngest his children are Mario, Sofia and Alberto. Mario and Alberto were inducted into the family business, but Sofia was not since Carmine wanted to protect her and not be a target.
Mario was eventually arrested however and he was deported back to Italy for an unknown amount of time. Later there were sightings of a man dressed in a bat costume taking out criminals and corrupt policemen. The Falcone Crime Family was a target of this so called Batman and they were forged to delay their operations. To make things worse, with Falcone's operations being delayed, there was room for a new gangster in town. Luigi Maroni decided to set up shop in Gotham since Falcone was weak at this point. A gang war ensued and Batman saw the error of his ways and he decided to try and stop it by taking on the mantle of Matches Malone. The plan worked, but Luigi was killed in the gang war, thus making his son Salvatore the new leader of the Maroni Crime Family, with a huge grudge against the Falcones. During this time Carmine was also forced to work with Vasily Kosov of the Odessa Crime Family, to keep his power. At some point as well he had a brawl with Catwoman who sliced his face. This caused Carmine to hate all of the so called "freaks".
A few years later and Falcone was back on top. However, he needed a new method of money laundering, and he sent Anthony Zucco to the Haley Circus as a way to buy them out. They refused however, so Zucco cut the ropes of the trapezes of the Flying Grayson act and John and Mary Grayson were killed leaving their son Dick an orphan. After this accident, Carmine sent Anthony in hiding. Carmine reached out to the Skeevers brothers as a method to launder money, but Jefferson was murdered by a mercenary named Philo Zeiss who was employed by the Thorne Crime Family. This led to the Skeevers merging with the Falcones, and Edward Skeevers is now part of Carmine's inner circle as head of money laundering within the organisation.
All the major crime families were driven out of Gotham however, by all the crazies who had taken over the city. This left a big opening in the organised crime which was eventually filled up by the Penguin, Black Mask and the Great White Shark. The Falcones fled to one of their safehouses in Chicago where they were able to stay with Carmine's sister Carla. Carmine has still one of his lieutenants, Fish Mooney, inside the city as his eyes and ears. Now Carmine is just waiting for the perfect timing to strike and take the city back from the crazies.
