Camera died on me today :o(
Taking lots of shots today and then suddenly 'Wham!' Won't take any more pictures, just gives me an 'Err 99' mesage when I try to take a shot.
I've sent in a support request to Canon, but it's Saturday night and I don't expect to hear from them till at least Monday or Tuesday. Heading into the place of purchase first thing in the morning to see if anything can be done.
I'll get around to uploading a few shots taken today later on, but for now, here's the last shot my camera took.

It lives! A fairly 'to the point' letter to Canon resulted in them not only fixing the E18 error but also replacing the lens (scratched by the automatic lens cover - "a fairly major design flaw" I pointed out to them). They did this as a 'goodwill' gesture - no fee. They also offered to fix my old S70 for about half of that quoted by a authorised repair shop. I suppose I'll have to start using it again now?
Without the compact flash, it doesn't boot. Good! I can load my own OS onto a card and hopefully it'll boot.
I put the 64mb into my card reader and it has 4 partitions on it including including a DOS-looking one. I'll investigate more later.

The curve handle was misbehaving, somehow disconnected itself from the node and moved in the opposite direction to any node movement. I later found an invisible point off the curve, deleted it and everything was fixed.

No wonder some items take a while to be delivered. Map shows delivery route from near Sydney to Broome in Western Australia.

Looks like something went a little wrong over at the Payers Park build. That section of wall which the workmen are manually taking down with breakers was only cast last week. I assume they are leaving the metal 'skeleton' so they can re-cast.
Oddly the sections of wall to the right and left came out of their cast this morning, so not sure what happened to this piece.
Three days non stop chopping is not a nice sound.
