Commemorating the landmark decision by US Supreme Court legalizing same-sex marriage in all 50 states

“Rainbow"
On Sunday, August 16, 2015, the last performance at Michelle Michaels' FACE show at The Zone Dance Club, 133 W 18th St, Erie PA, was the reigning Miss Erie, Valerie Valentino, AKA Derek. Derek's boyfriend, Todd (AKA Victoria London) had planned a surprise marriage proposal with the cooperation of Michelle Michaels and other performers. After accepting, Derek's mom, who was in attendance, had requested a song for the newly engaged couple to dance to, and soon almost everyone in the bar was on the dance floor as well. Todd and Derek both reside in Ohio, which was one of the states involved in the US Supreme Court marriage equality decision on June 26 of this year. Wishing the couple much happiness!
so heres the thing..
today is women's day...
but why don't we have a men's day?
aren't we supposed to be equal?
Today was the day there were rainbows everywhere. Literally.
On another news, today the Supreme Court of the US came with the historic ruling declaring that same-sex couples have a right to marry in all 50 states. A massive step towards ensuring equal rights for everyone.

Well, it's a long time since I devote myself to a nice triptych ... I happened some time ago to witness the spectacle of a very interesting theater company , which counts among its dancers people of various skills , having as primary objective the integration and the desire to prove that the persons so-called "different" because of what are called disabilities, in reality they are not at all. The show is very long, divided into scenic paintings highly dynamic , generally a lot of fun , with little indulgence in the most obvious way to go, that of pity. It also very difficult to photograph , because both lights is the continuous movement . I opted for a long time esposition , taking advantage of the trails body , without pretending to have everything in focus but only for capture the moment . It was not even necessary to do post production. The triptych is a human subject , and for my first time . Nothing monuments , landscapes , or diagonal . The first photo has as its theme the equality.
Hope you enjoy it .
Niente monumenti, paesaggi o diagonali. La prima foto ha come tema l' uguaglianza.
Spero che possa piacere.
This is a historic building I guess, with village history on the wall it seems. The building itself doesn't seem that old though... Week 15 of 52. Taken with Canon t1i, edited in Affinity Photo on iMac.

Mama Nalepo in her shop in the local market of Mamura village in Arusha, Tanzania.
In 2007, Mama Nalepo enrolled in an adult literacy programme, where she first learnt foundational skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic. Most recently, she took part in UN Women-supported trainings on managing accounts, record-keeping and business development, which helped her take over her husband’s shop and revamp the business model. Through cross-border trading, she made a profit of over US$ 500 per month, which allowed her to expand her business, send her last four children to school and purchase 12 plots of land.
“The trainings gave our women the confidence to step out of their boma (homestead) and earn like men,” says Mama Nalepo. “The future of my children and grandchildren is secure, because I received the knowledge I needed to make profit from my business.” Mama Nalepo now encourages other women in nearby villages to participate in the trainings.
Between 2011 and 2016, the UN Women-MWEDO partnership has empowered hundreds of Maasai women to acquire land, find additional employment and diversify their economic activities to supplement their families’ income. The most recent trainings were provided as part of UN Women’s 2016 programme on “Women’s Access to Income, Land and Rights”, supported by the Government of Sweden through the One Fund in Tanzania.

The new Indian census(2011), which put the population at 1.2 billion, has revealed an alarming trend. Rising incomes only seem to accelerate gendercide – the evocative term for the selective abortion of girl foetuses. There were 945 girls per 1,000 boys in the 1991 census, 927 in 2001 and now 914. It's now a crisis and we need to move beyond just acknowledging the issue. The PC & PNDT Act 1994 prohibits any form of sex-determination practise and sex-selective abortion.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) of India; 89,546 cases of cruelty by husband and relatives; 21,397 cases of rape; 11,009 cases of sexual harassment and 5,650 cases of dowry harassment were reported in India during the year 2009.
