The new entry to our field from our driveway. This is down near the road. Not too pretty, but necessary if they want to get farm equipment into our field.

The subject's name is Busaba, a well cared for Indochinese Tigress whose home is at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Thailand. I had taken many portraits of Busaba previously and it was becoming more and more difficult to come up with an image that appeared any different to the others. Which is why I took to observing her more carefully during my visits in the hope of capturing something of a behavioural shot. The opportunity finally presented itself while watching Busaba enjoying her private pool then shaking herself dry. In all humility I have to say that Mother Nature smiled favourably on me that day!
Tranquillity at Platt Fields Park, Fallowfield. Peace can be found in city areas and a home for wildlife.
As the year begins anew, I reflect on all I have seen. Despite my various endeavors, I have never strayed from my primary goal. My purpose for being here, to find the beauty often overlooked. The creativity of millions. I am an Explorer.

Marijke Willems started her career in South Africa where she worked as an assistant for a well-known photographer, Merwelene van der Merwe and during this period she did her own photo shoots. She went to the Netherlands in 2005 to enhance her studies in photography she got a degree at the Foto Academie Amsterdam in Fashion Advertising. After her Dutch Experience in working as photographer she came back to South Africa in 2009. She is currently based in Johannesburg and happily snapping away.
The mission of Marijke Willems is to be considered in her own words: "to treat photography as art and therefore I love to shoot in a way that I can create a concept around it. My mission includes emphasizing the love and the passion I have for photography. See and reveal it in a different way that will inspire and seek attention by extreme."
Another entry in my journal using the Artella Studio Kit (Old time arts, crafts and hobbies). The sewing page was perfect to show and tell the importance of passing on our skills to our children. Stamps are by Stamping Zoo (no longer in business) and notions are things I had lying around the house.
My entry for one of the monthly challenges on my LUG: pimp up an official town-vehicle set.
I'm going with "What if Doc Brown couldn't afford a Delorean?"
