Another enjoyable subterranean light session with Mark O'Neill. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you couldn't meet a nicer bloke to work with. We had a fine location but no planned agenda so had to work on the fly and spark off one another with what tools we had to hand. The framing and set up were excruciating to say the least but luckily we are both afflicted by a similar level of OCDLP and able to go that extra mile when it counts.

I spent the majority of the shoot using Mark as the main subject, then when trying a LED "crown of thorns" on myself I finally selected this image for the keeper. Sorry Mark........oh yes, and there's no need to bother going back to retrieve your bag of chocolate mini eggs as I have just polished them off after finding them in my kit bag !

The echo in here was insane, almost to the point that we were avoiding speaking to one another at any distance.

Single long exposure with the tiniest of crop and watermark.

10000 statues of Buddha, made of Crystal and each handcrafted, are making the walls of this temple an amazing place to visit.

These days I'm living the vampire life of shooting all night and sleeping all day. However; on the first day in Moab we tried to make a mad dash to catch the sunset. Unfortunately I was the guide and on a road, that my memory of, wasn't the best. We found a great location but it was to late for any good sunset light.

Not to waste the view, we cracked a few beers and watched the last remnants of light recede. Some clouds were moving across the ridge line behind us, and out of nowhere lightening came. Dustin (Dustin Farrell) remarked, that if we see one more bolt we were staying and shooting.

Sure enough one more bolt came and then another. We broke out cameras and started to shoot as rain started to move in. Then all of a sudden this massive bolt hit not to far from us and lit up the entire landscape. I was lucky enough to be in the middle of a long exposure and caught it.

It turns out that another photographer I know (Dylan Martin) was shooting at the exact same time and caught the same bolt down river from us.

The storm disappeared as quickly as it came.

"Sunny Days" by Jars of Clay...<3

"Sunny days keepin' the clouds away

I think we're coming to a clearing and a brighter day

So far away. Still I think they say

The wait will make the heart grow stronger or fonder

I can't quite remember anyway

So if you're waitin' for love

Well it's a promise I'll keep

If you don't mind believing that it changes everything

Then time will never matter

Winter, Spring... is what love can truly bring

Ice turns to water, water flows to everything

You can lose your mind, maybe then your heart you'll find

I hope you won't give up what's moving you inside

If the car won't start, when you turn the key

When the music comes on, all your cold,

cold heart can do is skip a beat

It's a promise I'll keep

When you're waitin' for love

If you don't mind believing that it changes everything

Then time will never matter" ...

Light on the Autumn tree in Les Vosges (France)

Me and my cousins Hubby Balaji, both of us had an hours time of talking about the lives of these kids at the Ahobila Madam. They answered our silly questions on Religion, Mythology and god patiently. The session was one of the most enlightening and interesting ones i have ever had. This was shot while we spoke on many a things in general about life, religion, perspective, money etc.,

Tagore's famous poem says,"If they answer not to thy call, walk alone".

Portrait of Flemish artist, Willem Vermandere at his easel. He can be described as an enlightener. One that enlightens - shares knowledge and spiritual insight through his art. Here in photographic terms I’ve quite literally brought him into the light.

The remains of these dandelions will soon have gone with the wind. Tonight they still caught the light of the setting sun. Golden wishes, waiting to be fulfilled.
