Thank you to Chris and everyone at Napoleon Engineering in Olean for giving me a tour. We had a great discussion about job training and creating jobs for skilled workers here in the Southern Tier.
During the Fall of 2009, Tyler Dube, civil engineering senior, had the honor of leading the illustrious 380-member Longhorn Band onto the football field. It’s the second consecutive year an engineering student has been named drum major, and the 12th overall in the band’s history.

the College’s namesake, Fritz Russ, passed away recently, and we have many artifacts from his estate that would make an interesting display or portion of the exhibit. These are things such as a photo album he created as an engineer working on Bikini Atoll prior to WW2, when the atomic bomb was being tested. Also, we have his wallet with all of his old ID cards back to the 40s and 50s.

Lola Eniola-Adefeso, the Vennema Professor of Chemical Engineering and associate dean for Graduate and Professional Education, center, speaks with Dawn Tilbury, the Ronald D. And Regina C. Lola Eniola-Adefeso is a University Diversity and Social Transformation Professor, the associate dean for graduate and professional education in engineering, and a professor of chemical engineering, biomedical engineering and macromolecular science and engineering. Her lab is a pioneer in cellular adhesion and vascular targeted drug delivery.
In addition to her new named professorship, Eniola-Adefeso was recently appointed as the President-Elect of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and received the esteemed title of National Academy of Inventors Senior Member. She is also an elected fellow of the American Heart Association by the Council on Peripheral Vascular Disease and a member of the Board of Directors for the American Institues of Chemical Engineers.
The Vennema Professorship was established in 1980 by a gift from Catherine and Ame Vennema, BSE ’32, to support scholars whose work will impact the technologies of tomorrow.
