Abby and I had such an awesome time at this engagement shoot. Glen and Susan were the coolest people to be around and were so easy to work with. Susan added me as a contact through flickr over a year ago so it was nice to finally meet her in person. We met up at the Deerfield Beach Pier just in time for the sunrise. It was a last minute decision to meet up that early but it was well worth it. I was so worried about this photoshoot because it had been raining on and off the entire week. We got lucky and the clouds cleared up as the sun started to peak out over the horizon.
We didn’t know that they were Filipino until the day of the shoot. Once we found that out, we started talking about all sorts of Filipino foods, traditions, etc. It was a fun time and I can’t wait for their wedding.

The day was kind of overcast, but we got about 5 minutes of beautiful light breaking through at the end of the session!

This was an engagement photo session for my friends, taken on a beautiful autumn day. They wanted a natural setting, so we chose a quiet spot in the woods with warm, golden light filtering through the trees. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, perfectly reflecting their connection. I loved capturing the candid moments between them as they laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. It was a memorable experience

Special thanks to my bestfriend for helping me out at the last minute... My original assistant broke up with me -__-
Strobist: SB-28 into large softbox left, SB-800 on a tripod with Fong on it on the right (I was going to use it bare, but the light was too harsh so had to soften it somehow, and I didn't have another softbox so I just improvised hehehe). Background was shadow of building with sun on top. Triggered by PW's.
