Taken for the Macro Monday theme of iSpy. An object starting with a vowel!

I told the guy doing the installation (I am pretty sure he was not the intended) he was missing the interrogation point. He laughed and said maybe it's more like a Anforderung (a demand). Engagement as a public show seems to be becoming a thing. Now, if you are considering it, think twice. Chances are your girl might not be terribly amused.

Thank you everyone for your visits, faves and comments, they are always appreciated :)

Engagement photo session

Once in a while I'm called upon to do other types of photography. The young couple wanted some "serious" shots. so I was happy to oblige. :-)

Strobist:

One FP360 in 36" octobox camera right.

Order was for 3 doz cupcakes to celebrate an engagement. Red velvet with vanilla buttercream, chocolate with vanilla and chocolate buttercream and vanilla with chocolate and vanilla buttercream. Personalized with LOVE, a heart with the bride and groom-to-be's initials and flowers. Colors are black, white and pink.

Port Adelaide Markets on a Sunday morning. The light was low, but the engagement the stall holders had was high. This lady was spruiking her teas

My friend got engaged and asked me to take a few pictures for announcements. This was one that came out pretty well.

I was looking through some of Phil and Sara's engagement photos and re-processing two of my favorite photos. This couple is absolutely one of the most fun to shoot.

i wish this wasn't so blown out because her engagement ring is absolutely gorgeous.

There's something extra-satisfying about taking a picture you really like at 7 a.m. "It was this great moment … or groggily stare into the bottom of a coffee cup."

Engagement photos of my niece Claire and her fiancé Jacob.

I shot the engagement of a few friends of mine. After the proposal shots I grabbed this ring shot.

For our engagement, I set the camera up on a tripod and used the timer settings to take some candid engagement shots of us. We did one summer and one winter session.

Did this engagement photo for my coworker and her husband last year.

One of the first projects I was asked to do for friends. They ended up using this shot for a label on wine bottles for their engagement party.

I learned so much since then, and wish I had the knowledge then to make this shot even better.

I used the D90 and a 50mm f/1.8.

Engagement shoot with Drew & Estela

Abby and I had such an awesome time at this engagement shoot. Glen and Susan were the coolest people to be around and were so easy to work with. Susan added me as a contact through flickr over a year ago so it was nice to finally meet her in person. We met up at the Deerfield Beach Pier just in time for the sunrise. It was a last minute decision to meet up that early but it was well worth it. I was so worried about this photoshoot because it had been raining on and off the entire week. We got lucky and the clouds cleared up as the sun started to peak out over the horizon.

We didn’t know that they were Filipino until the day of the shoot. Once we found that out, we started talking about all sorts of Filipino foods, traditions, etc. It was a fun time and I can’t wait for their wedding.
