Das Engadin ist ein Hochtal im schweizerischen Kanton Graubünden. Es ist eines der höchstgelegenen bewohnten Täler Europas und mehr als 80 km lang. Es bildet die obere Talstufe des Inns und wird in das Ober- und das Unterengadin unterschieden.

Eigentlich schade, dass das Val Champagna nicht so oft bewandert wird, aber umso ruhiger ist es hier.

Airport Samedan/St.Moritz (Engadin/Switzerland)

RhB Class Ge 4/4'' 625 'Küblis' was recorded heading away from Bever with the Regio Express RE 1351, the 15:20 Landquart to St Moritz. A matching loco and stock RhB train is always a pleasure to see and with more EMUs on order and new coaching stock to come on stream opportunities likes these may well be gone within a couple of years.

Sunset time at Muottas Muragl (2,456 m above sea level).

Muottas Muragl is located between Samedan and Pontresina and is one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Engadin valley. The impressive landscape, the light and the breathtaking views across Upper Engadin and the Bernina Massif once inspired artists, poets and philosophers such as Giovanni Segantini and Friedrich Nietzsche. The mountain can be reached by a vintage funicular railway dating from 1907.
