Nothing encapsulates the story of the out ward diaspora of the Merchant Princes of Shekavati than the beautiful decaying haveli’s left behind in the small towns of Sikar & Jhunjhunu which made up the Shekavat region of Jaipur State. These Haveli’s bearing names like “Modi ki Haveli”,Khaithan ki Haveli” etc is the who’s who of the current major industrial house’s in India. (Poddar,Bajaj,Goenka,Ruias, Singhania’s et al)
Had visited the deserted town of Chitpur last year to see the mansions of the Bohra’s. These haveli’s I got to see in Jhunjhunu still has people living in some parts of the mansions. The towns of Sikar & Jhunjhuna are still vibrant & full of bright earthy colours.
The quirky,exuberant paintings & murals all over the portions we were allowed to see is lovely. The “Tibrewala” & the “Modi” haveli has Gods, Cars, Trains driven by White Babu’s Mughal motifs & what not…. I saw Bhagat Singh twirling his mushtache on a wall

In the Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility -2 (SAEF- 2), workers prepare the Mars Climate Orbiter for a spin test. Targeted for launch aboard a Delta II rocket on Dec. 10, 1998, the orbiter is heading for Mars where it will primarily support its companion Mars Polar Lander spacecraft, which is planned for launch on Jan. 3, 1999. At the extreme right can be seen the lander in another work area. The orbiter's instruments will monitor the Martian atmosphere and image the planet's surface on a daily basis for 687 Earth days. It will observe the appearance and movement of atmospheric dust and water vapor, as well as characterize seasonal changes on the surface. The amazing story of Steve Jobs is encapsulated in that bold, beautiful, glass cube that marks the entrance to the open-24/7 Apple Store in Midtown Manhattan. That store's opening was delayed, by the way, by Jobs' insistence on taking that cube, which he designed personally, with him when the store's lease expires (Jobs will have to replace it with something comparable-- the deal was unheard of in New York City commercial real estate).
Here's a guy who went from scamming long distance calls for free and making computer games for Atari, to inventing the personal computer and becoming the largest single shareholder of Disney-- not to mention revolutionizing digital music and saving the company that he founded, was then kicked out of, and then was begged to come back to.

The Harpoon is an all-weather, over-the-horizon, anti-ship missile system, developed and manufactured by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing Defense, Space & Security). In 2004, Boeing delivered the 7,000th Harpoon unit since the weapon's introduction in 1977. The missile system has also been further developed into a land-strike weapon, the Standoff Land Attack Missile (SLAM).
The regular Harpoon uses active radar homing, and a low-level, sea-skimming cruise trajectory to improve survivability and lethality. The missile's launch platforms include:
Fixed-wing aircraft (the AGM-84, without the solid-fuel rocket booster)
Surface ships (the RGM-84, fitted with a solid-fuel rocket booster that detaches when expended, to allow the missile's main turbojet to maintain flight)
Submarines (the UGM-84, fitted with a solid-fuel rocket booster and encapsulated in a container to enable submerged launch through a torpedo tube);
Coastal defense batteries, from which it would be fired with a solid-fuel rocket booster.

a. It has was brought to my attention last Friday that for the past month I have been taking the wrong quantity (too much) of a certain anti-depressant. For those who don't know, that means hyper-sensitivity, mood swings, sleeplessness, muscle pain, joint soreness, and a roller coaster of this that and the other, including some doozy migraines and an inability to focus.
b. Florida. I've accepted the Florida offer. Side effects include but are not limited too mood swings, anxiety, nausea, and the feeling that this is either going to be a grand adventure and resume builder, or one of the more poorly felt out decisions in my life. I've a fear that my friends will hold it against me, as will my coworkers. And did I mention mood swings?
Take two pills per day with water until the panic subsides.

Phtographed with a Nikkor micro 105mm f/2.8 lens and a 2X teleconverter. I used a SB600 speedlight. I chose to use the image with the specular reflections as it most clearly illustrated the balls of ice. The background is snow which is dark as the flash was not iluminating it and it was overcast.

This shows a pair of 2L red axles and a pair of 3L 1/2 thick dark red lift arms as mentioned in a previous image. This adds a little more friction, but doesn't seem all that necessary, IMO.

In the Spacecraft Assembly and Encapsulation Facility -2 (SAEF- 2), the two Mars microprobes are shown mounted on opposite sides of the Mars Polar Lander. The two microprobes and the lander are scheduled to be launched Jan. 3, 1999, aboard a Delta II rocket. The solar-powered spacecraft is designed to touch down on the Martian surface near the northern-most boundary of the south pole in order to study the water cycle there. The lander also will help scientists learn more about climate change and current resources on Mars, studying such things as frost, dust, water vapor and condensates in the Martian atmosphere. The Mars microprobes, called Deep Space 2, are part of NASA's New Millennium Program. They will complement the climate-related scientific focus of the lander by demonstrating an advanced, rugged microlaser system for detecting subsurface water. Such data on polar subsurface water, in the form of ice, should help put limits on scientific projections for the global abundance of water on Mars. Found in mixed hardwood forest. It was on a bracket fungus (Ganoderma?) growing out of the trunk of a standing dead hardwood tree. When I was photographing it, it seemed to be defecating on the fungus. When I processed the photos, I was surprised to see that it was actually encapsulating an egg it had laid on the surface of the fungus.

It is conceivable that Wareâs story of work ethic, undeniable spirit and enthusiasm encapsulates the sentiment of her graduating 2015 classmates.
Ware, 43, of Winston-Salem, is quite active on and off campus as a mentor to other students, a member of the non-traditional student organization, the first president of Epsilon Chapter 130 of Tau Sigma National Honor Society at WSSU, a wife and proud mother of two. She is also legally blind. She wants to blaze trails, set examples and raise the bar for others with disabilities.
âIn 2007, I lost my eyesight. After a six-month pity party, I decided to continue my education and make a difference for others. Since 2008, I have spent every day of my life proving to society that having a disability does not mean we are weak. I am now an advocate for persons with disabilities,â Ware, a business major, said, "We are not handicapped, we are handy capable!"
Ware, who can be described as always pleasant and having an unlimited enthusiasm for life, says every day alive is like Christmas. She demands to be treated like everyone else and has been noted to say, âI may physically fall, but mentally I can get back up and pull a 4.0 semester.â After graduation she wants to start a Kosher/Halal foods business and become active on community boards.

These artistic products encapsulate the old and the new. They use traditional Desná moulds and newly designed wooden moulds and they embody modern elements and ideas. The glass-maker can then conjure up an infinite combination of colors, patterns and shapes from what was just crystal and glass shards at the beginning. You will appreciate the simplicity of design and the color shades which decorate the diverse interiors.
