Fragments from a beautiful day at Porthcurno.
A million thanks again for all the kind words and well wishes over the past few days. Mother & baby are still at hospital but doing well. I expect there will be many more baby pics in the near future, but i just wanted to wait till William was feeling completely better and out of the NICU before posting more.
Squeezing in a bit of work this morning and catching up with some Getty submissions on the theme of the UK coast, which seeing as i'm very rarely far away from one piece of the UK coastline or other is a subject close to my heart.

Photo 28 of my 365 project.
This sits at the corner of 4th and Main in Cedar Falls. A building once stood here, but it burned down years ago. This lot has been vacant for the six years I've (not consistently) lived in Cedar Falls.
What's odd is that developers keep buying up land to build strip malls that stay vacant for years, while no one has wanted to build here.
This is one of the images I entered into the RPS Monthly Competition for February 2014. The subject was water. www.flickr.com/photos/chris_marina/sets/72157641821365804/
The boardwalk was empty because it was absolutely FREEZING and windy. I made a very important discovery, the public bathrooms (across from Cha-Cha's) are really clean and HEATED!!! Great place to change film and get the feeling in one's fingers back! (note: this only applies to the ladies room, I'm sure the men's is heated too but I did not feel like checking)

I dropped PJ off at an event at the De Young. I hadn't even got home before I got a frantic call that she'd not got the right glass with her. I grabbed what she wanted, turned the car around and headed back. I couldn't face doing the drive again so I hung out in the neighborhood, grabbed a coffee, went hunting photography books (found nothing affordable that I wanted) and then hung out in the car listening to podcasts on my mp3 player. A pretty relaxing way to pass a couple of hours actually. This was taken in the Golden Gate Park at dusk so there was no one sitting in the benches to spoil my composition.
We had a warming drink in the Cafe Gusto in Bristol......now here, all that is left is the empty cup and a bit of froth

The morning started pleasantly cool, became hot under blue sky (over 30C), then clouded over near lunchtime with the approach of storms.
