The abandoned BFGoodrich factory in Akron, Ohio.
This was probably one of the main production rooms in the back building, as it was the most wide open and had 2 stories to it...(the top 2 of the building) as you can see it had a balcony. and in the far right corner there was a shower room...at one time the building must have had another building attached to it, because the entrance to the shower room was on the outside of the building! there was a very narrow path and small ledge you could walk out onto to get into that room, and we made it our personal hideaway. we drug some old seats and benches from the basement up to the top floor and then lowered them down by rope and pulled them into the shower room so that we had somewhere to sit....it was quite a nice lounge in the end...it's a shame i never got photos of it while we were still using it...

In the middle of one of Savannah's busiest streets, there's a spot where a building just ceased to exist at some point. The transition is pretty jarring, and you can just feel the energy pressing you away, like the ghost of the building is still there.
I love photographing empty shops, of which there are sadly many. It's interesting what shapes you get and items left behind.

This was the first empty thing that I noticed this morning. (No, I am not a cancer survivor. I just picked-up the organizer at a health fair.) I certainly could have used this photo in several other recent challenges.
My Walgreen's store on Houston Street is closing. Today is the last opening day. You can tell that they are prepared. Most of the shelves are empty already.
Molly has been in the UK for a few days and very soon will be gone for good. The house never seemed so empty.....

As kids we spent our time trying all ways to get out of going to school.
As adults we find ourselves going back.......

This is me trying to keep taking pictures after the project is over.
Tonight I went to 60 West Bistro & Martini Bar to celebrate Kathy's birthday. My photos of their martinis didn't turn out so great but I liked this photo of the empty table!

Review:
Buck Jones both produced and starred in this offbeat Western also featuring silent screen icon Louise Brooks. Hoping to turn it into a profitable dude ranch, drifter Buck Devlin (Buck Jones) purchases the Ranch of Empty Saddles, the former site of a bloody war between cattle ranchers and sheep men. Buck cleans up the place with the help of peddler Swap Boone (Harvey Clark) and his daughter Boots (Brooks), and the ranch is soon teeming with Eastern tourists. As an added treat for the guests, the ranch hands stage a mock recreation of the old feud, which turns deadly serious when someone responds with real bullets. Future B-Western sidekick Frank Yaconelli, appearing unbilled, and a band of cowboys perform "Welcome to the Empty Saddle Ranch" and "Orchid of the Prairie". (allmovie.com)
Rub' al Khali or The Empty Quarter is not only the largest sand desert in the world. It is also one of the most awe inspiring and humbling sights on our planet.
Helicopter ride over this enormous vastness presented me with more photo opportunities in one hour than any landscape I've ever visited with.
The enchanting dance of the sand dunes in the early morning light is an irresistible subject of every photographer .
