cute ladybug embossed blank notecard.

Playing with embossing folders - snowflakes and swiss dots. Oval die and scallop background are from a Gina K layouts die as was flag die cut for the sentiment. One of the little gnomes from a Montarga stamp set.

Embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder and a template to keep the circle area flat. Wish Sizzix die cut out of sticky paper and cardstock. The sticky paper is glittered then mounted slightly of centred on the cardstock piece to create a shadow effect. This is mounted on the embossed piece, which is mounted on another piece of cardstock and then onto the card blank.

Image started out as an embossed photo paper colored with alcohol inks. Hue edited. Curves feature used to deepen the Midtones. Repeating pattern created from edited image. Paint.net used for all image edits.

I duplicated the image, added the emboss filter with 6 pixels offset at 200%, then blended with the original using the Overay blending mode at 50% opacity to create a slight 3D effect.

Yay! Much as I love knitting single socks, nothing beats finishing an actual pair.

Pattern: Embossed Leaves Socks

Yarn: Sundara Sock Yarn, cinnamon over marmalade

Mods: added 2 more full repeats of the pattern, subbed the eye of partridge heel, and omitted the fussy cast-on.
