Embossed Leaves Socks
Pattern: designed by Mona Schmidt, Winter 2005 issue of IK
Dates: Began 9/23/06-Finished 9/30/06
Yarn: Louet Gems Merino-color Shamrock, 2 skeins
Needles: I started off wanting to try knitting with one long circular, on a 0 Addi turbo, but it was really slow going for me with constantly moving the stitches around, so I switched back to what I'm used too, Brittany 5" DPN size 1.
Details: Although the knitting with one long circular wasn't my thing, I did learn how to use the 1x1 rib cast-on which left a very neat edge to the top of the sock. However, I did notice that it is less stretchy than my usual long tail cast-on. I also worked on knitting tighter on my needles to make guage. It was hard on my hands in the beginning, but it got better as I got further along. After making a few pair of socks with both short row heels and heel flaps, the verdict is still out on which fits better, but I think I'm leaning towards the heel flaps.
A piece I did over my inky weekend. More details on my blog justletmeink.blogspot.com/2011/08/cas-ual-fridays.html

This handmade anniversary card features an embossed heart covered with acrylic gemstones. It sits half on top of printed vellum which has the word congratulations printed white on white in a variety of fonts. Happy Anniversary is printed in silver on the front of the card. This could be changed to Wedding Wishes. This card features acrylic diamonds but could be made with pink or red acrylic gemstones instead. The inside of this card is left blank for your own anniversary or wedding message. You can buy this card and see other designs at www.handmade-cards-direct.co.uk
My original pattern, which can be found in low-quality hybrid chart/text format on my blog. sjedesigns.blogspot.com/2010/09/half-baked-pattern-emboss...
Small rectangles of copper with embossed and aged. I then added the Czech beads, rhinestone rondelle and drop beads. Handmade messy-wrapped ear wires.
An embossed picture of my favorite quarterback Aaron Rodgers with iconic parts of the jersey painted back in.
All baked pics. I prefer the back of the pendant here (bottom right pic).

Embossed a stencil on a gelli plate background. Altenew flower stamped on ivory card with grey inks.
This is a great stamp when embossed but doesn't really have a wow factor when just stamped!
The tiny black feather with beads came on a decorated piece maybe to put on a mask??
Libraries often mark objects visibly with an embossed stamp. (The Winter Holidays : A Story for Children, by Amerel. New York : D. Appleton and Co., 1850. PS1039.A267 W568 1850. pem-voyager.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cg...)
