Switching to night riding mode after 80 miles. Turns out I would tap out another 128 before stopping.
My quest for the holy grail began back on June 16, 2008 when I received an email at 1:30 pm from an editor at New Hampshire Magazine. Now, let me make it known that I was at work and we don't get out until 4pm. The editor was requesting a copy of my photo of Diana's Bath www.flickr.com/photos/8803693@N04/2480657418/ for use in the July 2008 issue and she needed the photo by 4pm. I automatically stop thinking about work. My phone goes unanswered and emails go unchecked because I'm only thinking about the fact that someone wants to use one of my photos in a magazine. And they want to pay me for it...bonus. I start thinking about going home sick but then I remember that my wife takes a late lunch most days. She could run home and send the photo by email for me. I make the call and she agrees to head home. I call her back and she tells me the email is sent. Then she heads back to work. A little while later I check my email and find out the file didn't send. I later learn the file was too large. So I get a copy from my flickr page and send that but my computer at work is taking way too long. A half hour later the email is finally sent. By now it's 3:30pm and I can't wait to get out of work. I call the editor at 4pm to make sure she received the file. She did but the file is sort of small. I ask if she can wait until 5pm and I'll send a larger file. Turns out she couldn't wait and sent everything to the printer.
Somewhere around the beginning of July I start to check the New Hampshire Magazine website to see when the July issue will come out. They finally advertise the July issue. I start driving up to New Hampshire from my home in Massachusetts on a daily basis like it's some sort of pilgrimage. Nobody has the magazine and the website doesn't say what day it actually comes out. One morning I meet up with a couple of flickr friends in Hillsborough, NH for the balloon "festival". On my way home I decided to stop at the pharmacy in Hillsborough and FINALLY there is a copy of the magazine. Now everyone in my family wants a copy since this is the first photo of mine to be published. Of course they only had one copy. I've waited all this time and driven all over like gas is .30 a gallon and all I can find is one copy. Now I'm trying to think of any store in the south central part of New Hampshire that might carry this magazine. After a couple of stops with no luck, I go to a grocery store. There on the racks at most of the registers are dozens of copies of the magazine. Finally, my quest for the holy grail has ended and I grab a half dozen copies like I was Arthur pulling the sword out of the stone. I think the kid working the register thought I was an idiot for buying so many of the same magazine. That's okay, he's bagging groceries while I'm finally getting published.
This HSBC security guard just pulled a customer bank slip out of the garbage and started making a phone call, apparently about the contents. This looks very suspect.

I took these two sunset shots today Nov. 10,2007 along I 20 in Eastaboga Alabama, it was just a beautiful shot of our flag in a glorious sunset. I did not do any editing to these photos.
Thanks,

I made this as a joke for a outlook email background. It looks kind of yuckie with the flaky foot stomping down on the text.
James,
These are pictures of the lightning from downtown Huntsville last night. These were edited via Instagram.

Apparently so.
Now do I replace my bar ends or get some skill compensating wider bars? You know, I'm toying with going back to low rise XC bars.
Holy shit. Where the hell did 41 emails come from? I checked my emails about 32 hours ago. That's crazy.
