I’ve been trying to figure out my Elf Blaine’s style since I liked him in his sock sweater and stuff but I didn’t like the colours on him. But then I remembered the rainbow sweater I made would fit him perfectly so yeah. I also used a nail clipper and trimmed down his frames so they looked a bit more in scale lol.
Anyway I’m happy enough to photograph him properly heh…
Perfect day to take her out for some photos in a natural setting. Her name is Lark. She a modded Littlefee Ante.

The Parnall Elf (G-AAIN, green and yellow) is a British two-seater light touring aircraft of the 1920s. Built by George Parnall & Co., it was the last aircraft designed by Harold Bolas before he left the company to go to the United States.
The type made its public debut at Olympia in July 1929. It was a biplane of wood and fabric construction with staggered wings set well forward on the fuselage as a feature to assist crew escape in an emergency. The wings were unusually braced with 'vee' interplane struts which dispensed with any flying wires and could be folded for ease of storage. The main fuel tank was fitted in the fuselage, a pump raised the fuel to a small tank in the wing centre section where it was then fed to the engine by gravity. An Elf placed fifth in the 1930 King's Cup Air Race out of a field of 88 entrants. The purchase price of the aircraft at this time was between £875 and £890.
G-AAIN is maintained and operated by the Shuttleworth Collection in Bedfordshire, England and is flown regularly throughout the summer months.
The Spartan Arrow (G-ABWP, blue) is a British aircraft of the early 1930s, built by Spartan Aircraft Limited. A successor to the company's first design, the Simmonds Spartan, the Arrow was a two-seat biplane with a spruce and plywood fuselage. The prototype first flew in May 1930 with Cirrus Hermes II engine. The 13 production aircraft that followed used mainly the de Havilland Gipsy II engine.
One aircraft was fitted with floats and evaluated as a seaplane in 1931. It was converted back to a a conventional cofiguration and later sold in New Zealand.
A total of two prototypes and 13 production aircraft were built at Weston, Southampton, and after 20 February 1931 at East Cowes, Isle of Wight.
G-ABWP is a Cirrus Hermes II powered Arrow (constructor's number 78). It survives in flying condition and is based at Redhill Aerodrome in Surrey.
The duo are seen here flying as a pair during the Shuttleworth Collection's 50th Anniversary Air Show.
Saguaro National Park (East), Arizona. The Elf Owl is among the smallest owls in the world and it is most common in areas with Saguaro cacti.
The cavity was at least 20 feet above the ground and we had to step back quite a bit (to the great displeasure of a rattlesnake) to get a good viewing angle.
It was Elf's turn for tree duty, on snow watch. Just a few flurries that's all, and he's pleased that when the snow actually comes (Sunday?) he'll be able to go out and play.

"So the Almater finally sees sense in that pretty little head of hers and decides to let the Sky Hunters loose, eh Dawn Weaver?" shouts the red-haired elf, wind streaming through her hair, as she calls down to the pensive looking elf at the head of the Sky Reamer.
The young kinsman's face broke in to a wry smile, and he calls back over his shoulder, still keeping his face looking into the clouds, eyes straining as he scans the area ahead.
"You really should show the Almater more respect, kinswoman. You never know, you may become one some day!"
The red-haired elf roared with laughter.
"I shouldn't think so, Weaver. I won't live that long... I love the fight too much! Speaking of which, where are they? Can you see them yet?"
A shake of Dawn Weaver's head and she turns her attention to the elf behind her.
"See anything through that spyglass of yours?
"No, not with this low cloud type that we seem to have around us. But this isn't a normal cloud formation, there is some unnatural magiks at play." The dark-haired elf lowers his seeing scope. "They know we're coming... we must be careful. I have a bad feeling about this."

The necklace used to be my mothers, it's much more beautiful in real life, it looks so magical and fantasy like!
This is not homage to Twilight or anything, I love vampires but I'm not a fan of the series. And I'm not sure if the term ELFPIRE actually exists, but if it does I'm not aware, it's just something I came up with when talking about those mythical creatures.

This is a scarlet elf cup (or possibly ruby elf cup) fungus growing in what was a bog on the Leighton Moss RSPB reserve. I say was because during our three visits during our week in Arnside the rain (fortunately mostly during the nights) caused the water levels to rise 20 cm above normal turning the bog into a pond. And that was before Saturday's deluge!
For those who know the reserve, the Lower Hide path was flooded and needed wellies on Thursday. The causeway was just keeping above the water on either side and could well be flooded by now.

I meant to post this just after Christmas! A dear dear friend always sends me a Jacquie Lawson Advent calendar, and ONE of the great things this past year was to find the elves in each scene! The calendar is SUCH an incredible interactive event to look forward to! No matter where Ken & I were, we could hardly wait to see what the next scene and story were! There were scenes to explore, gifts to open, Christmas trees and the city street to decorate, history to read about as well as recipes and tales! Sometimes it snowed, and the ringing of the clock bells were always on time!
We loved this SO much, so I am glad I have remembered to share my elves, and for anyone who hasn't had the experience of such a grand digital advent gift, DO go in search! SO beautifully done!
