I've been a busy little elf working on getting our home and sim changed over for Winter/Christmas which is pretty amazing considering how most seasons I'm 1000% behind on. Gonna make Santa proud this year (even if I am still on the naughty list). But I'm enjoying it so much.. finally having a "home" in SL and not just a place to take pretty pictures.

Their calls echo through the lower canyons of the Huachuca Mountains. Spring mating rituals have begun. Although not a fan of "lighting up" owls, these gnomes and their off springs, have nested in the same yard for 18 years and do not seem to mind all the attention.

For an hour after sunset they begin to feed on insects, then the lights go out leaving them to the night.

Elf Owls are the world's smallest Owl, about the size of a sparrow weighing in at 1.4 ounces.

It's amazing what you find when look a little closer. Nestled among the ruins of Ruigh nan Clach I found these amazing Lichens. I think they're called Elf Ears, but if anyone wants to correct me, then feel free.

Had been given some inside info as to wehre I might find these beauties here in Cardiff and yep, on an old stump down in forest Farm in Cardiff these were the focus of attention. Some nice older gent was there too, he said the bird hide was busy today, not surprised, as was dry this afternoon after some rain this morning.
