Once an honorable man, this rogue preys upon weary travelers as an act of revenge against the society that cast him out.

Outbreak Chapter 9 tomorrow hopefully!

Also, this is probably the first time you've seen eclipseGrafx on a castle/fantasy fig :P

Lightning drops from the sky during an afternoon monsoon storm near Wickenburg, AZ. The Arizona monsoon is a pattern of pronounced increase in thunderstorms and rainfall over large areas of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, typically occurring between June and September. During the monsoon, thunderstorms are fueled by daytime heating and build up during the late afternoon-early evening. Typically, these storms dissipate by late night, and the next day starts out fair, with the cycle repeating daily.

I missed the misty morning on Monday as I had work commitments but the misty conditions carried on until Thursday. The inversion over Stirling and the monument was breathtaking.

A great day to be out with the camera - perfect conditions in The Eden Valley, Cumbria.

Discovery was elusive.....

Just outside Glacier Bay, Alaska ... One of the most amazing, most breathtaking, indescribable places I've ever been. Thank goodness for cameras because the majestry of being there is truly indescribable.

Look within. Within is the fountain of good, and it will ever bubble up, if thou wilt ever dig.

Fun water display at Darling Harbour, with fireworks.

Says the blurb: 'Elemental takes us on a journey from the origins of our planet, through the ages that have defined our land and waterways and delivers us to the world we call home.' If anyone knows what they were smoking, can I get some?

I should like to capture the point at which distant lines meet for a moment before diverging forever, that sense of inexplicable juxtaposition, the way you can feel context dropping away beneath you: stranger songs, the eternal Nowhere..

The Metropolitan Building in downtown Detroit opened in 1925 and closed in 1977. In late 2018 it reopened as a hotel, officially named the Element Detroit at the Metropolitan.

Another DA build, went in a completely different direction with this, I'm too bored with greys.

Wanted to try a bent brickbuilt sail with no studs here, pretty satisfied with the result.

Going Contemporary now...following the desires of the elements...Desert Rock, Tropical Wood...Glass...the very first glass piece I did in fusion this last Summer. So glad its ending up in this! I listened to Miles Davis' Sketches of Spain while working on this.... and it fit so darn good!

"There is no logical way to the discovery of these elemental laws. There is only the way of intuition, which is helped by a feeling for the order lying behind the appearance."

Again, God said, let ther be Firmament

Amid the Waters, and let it divide

The Waters from the Waters: and God made

The Firmament, expanse of liquid, pure,

Transparent, Elemental Air, diffus'd

In circuit to the uttermost convex

Of this great Round: partition firm and sure,

The Waters underneath from those above

Dividing: for as Earth, so he the World

Built on circumfluous Waters calme, in wide

Crystallin Ocean, and the loud misrule

Of Chaos farr remov'd, least fierce extreames

Contiguous might distemper the whole frame:

And Heav'n he nam'd the Firmament: So Eev'n

And Morning Chorus sung the second Day.

For those who also follow me on instagram, a big thank you for getting me to 500 followers over the past 3 months (thats almost the equivalent of 2 and a half years on flickr!).

Something alot of people particularly like about my 'artwork inspired' series, is the elemental weapons and accessories the figures have. So what better way to celebrate than two specific photoshoots to display them!

All the painted parts are made from thin plastic sheets, (the type you find on action figure boxes). All are hand painted which is really where my art skills help this. I intend to make more in this style, maybe a couple of other sabers too. The 'Enix' Vader's 'force flames' and Fett's 'thruster flames' are currently being made/non removable.

If there are any particular objects or weapons you'd like to see made in the style above, send me a message or leave a link to an image bellow, and it's likely they will be made!

Also nearing 700 followers on here, so would like to say another big thank you to you guys!

Upon 800 followers, I'll be hosting a contest where ( probably artwork/sculpture inspired figures #artyfarty) where first place wins either a Desert Nomad Obi-wan or another artwork inspired commission. And yes, I will do that rare thing of shipping world wide from the UK.

As always guys, let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas/suggestions that you want to see made.

I currently have 'wibbly wobbly timey wimey' schedule, but I may fit in one or two more things over this holiday.

If your still reading this far, then good on you! XD

p.s any design work/competition prize winners, I havn't forgotten about you!

Hveravellir

Iceland

This shot was taken from the interior geothermal area of Hveravellir last August along the Kjolur route. It is a blend of several exposures on a frosty morning where steam was obscuring the sun.

I find these days, it's hard to get anything done that requires longer than a few minutes of commitment given the randomness of baby commitments - most of this was done one handed while settling baby! Apologies for being inactive on viewing everyone else's work once again. I will adapt soon lol

This is something that has been on my to-build list for a long time, a dragon. For some reason it has felt like a very daunting task, and it took me quite a while from deciding to build an ice dragon to actually getting anything done on it. And after building the head it sat on my desk for what felt like ages before I was able to get into making the rest of it. It finally came together for the Paredes de Coura Fan Weekend in Portugal, and then made its way to Brickworld Chicago the weekend after.

My original intention was to build an environment for the dragon to be in as well, but as I ran short on time, that came down to me just building it a white base, which, due to unforeseen circumstances, got stuck in Germany on my way home from Portugal, and thus never made it to Chicago. In the end, I chose to publish the picture without the base, as it felt more like a distraction than adding to the creation.

In the end, I'm really happy with how the dragon turned out, and that I was able to overcome this kind of barrier of building something like this. The legs aren't the most stable around, but once it's posed correctly, the dragon does stand up on its own with no added supports, which I'm very happy with.
