A steady stream of visitors keep going in and out of the Yodobashi electronics mega store in the Akihabara district of Tokyo, The store seems to thrive on aggressive promotions, discounts and offers in a 'thrift store' kind of setup and colourful visual displays. I have seen a similar store in Köln, Germany back in 2008, but that one was nowhere like Yodobashi in terms of variety and scale. All the signage, promotion leaflets, offers and promotion staff do everything in Japanese, so this is strictly for the locals. In fact I'd read elsewhere that most of the products sold in Yodobashi are designed to be used only inside Japan and they may not work if taken outside the country, both in terms of voltage, circuitry and the language of the displays on the product and instruction manuals, which are all only in Japanese. Electronics Magento Template is specially design for electronics, tools, mobile and computer stores. Electronics Magento Template is looking good with it's colors combination. It can be used for high level stores. All sub pages are customized.
Went to Best Buy to replace a remote for the controller - switching from cable to Netflix. Of course, they did not have it and they stopped making it too. Alternative is buy a brand new "thingie"and install that.
One of many such stores in NYC. Aside from a set of rechargeable AA's, I've just about never bought anything from these stores.
View from across the road of an electronics store (Yodobashi) and the railroad bridge headed into the platforms at JR Sapporo Station.
More and more interested visitors pour into the Yodobashi store looking for good deals. Note that the signage and promotions are entirely in Japanese, meaning this store is strictly geared towards the locals. In fact some of the electronics on sale are only intended for use in Japan due to voltage and other technical differences, Japanese language documentation, and limited warranties. However, several stores elsewhere in Akihabara also feature a selection of international models intended for overseas use, and most also offer tax-free shopping for foreign tourists. I seen a similar electronic store in Köln back in 2008 but that was nowhere compared to Yodobashi in terms of variety and scale! (Tokyo, Japan, Apr/ May 2019)
Yes, and a pub seems to have found it's way into the Akihabara electronics district of Tokyo as well. Indeed, in between all those electronics stores, DVD joints, anime and character based entertainment venues and karaoke places and cafes was this British pub. A cold beer would have been welcome at that time but it was getting late and I had been on the road for in excess of thirteen hours that day and really needed to get home to rest. Last time I went to a Best Buy here in Hawaii, there were only a couple of games for sale. In Tokyo there was a huge selection of Vita games. I was very surprised. I picked up a few but only a few since they are more expensive.
The main entrance to the Sapporo branch of Yodobashi Camera, where you can spend entirely too much money on electronics (and go stark raving mad from their theme song played constantly on a loop).
If you like electronics (who doesn't!) then you'll love Yodobashi Akiba. This Yodobashi Camera is just freakin' huge. Yes, you see right-- NINE FLOORS of electronics to go through. It's monstrously huge. And fun.
The massive Yodobashi complex in Osaka. 7 floors of electronics. I went in there yesterday and was able to play with a 1dMark IIN and Canon 500m f/4. Unreal!
One of two dedicated home theaters at the Century Stereo store. Fully treated by acoustic innovations, theater features dbox full motion seating, 2.35:1 perforated stewart film screen and more.

This is a former T-Mobile store at the Deptford Mall in the Deptford Mall in Deptford, New Jersey.
I'm not sure when this store closed, relative to when this photo was taken... however most of the store fixtures, along with the magenta lights still remain.
I spent a good chunk of time here. I even ate lunch upstairs. The first floor alone would fit the local Best Buy with lots of room to spare. I really liked just wandering about and looking.

In Sacramento, on Del Paso. An electronics store that closed recently, would make a good antique store for someone.
This came out a little crooked becuase all I had with me was a 50mm lens, and had to stand in the street in an area where people don't care if they run over you.

Irons, boom boxes, TV's, sound systems - all available here. Looks like some mattresses as well! Notice the satellite dishes.

One of my favorite electronics stores in the world is Yodobashi Camera, because it's just massive and over-the-top. 8-9 floors of gadgets and stuff to check out!
I had several hours before I needed to catch my plane back home so I decided to stock up on some games. I really enjoyed stopping by Yodobashi-Akiba. I could literally spend a day in there!

The silver Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III is a sleek camera distinguished by its advanced sensor design and flexible imaging capabilities. Its 20.1MP 1" CMOS sensor uses a stacked design, which pairs with the DIGIC 8 image processor to realize especially fast focusing performance, full-resolution shooting at up to 20 fps, and UHD 4K30p video recording. An f/1.8-2.8 maximum aperture range suits working in difficult lighting conditions as does an Optical Image Stabilizer, which compensates for the effects of camera shake.
