If you've followed along with my photography, you know that this isn't something I typically take pictures of. I was fortunate enough to participate in a photowalk at Fermilab just over a week ago. This is one of the four images I submitted to the photography contest they are having as a result.
This is part of a linear particle accelerator Fermilab is building. This image doesn't begin to do the complexity of this machine justice.
This is a three exposure HDR image combined in Photomatix Pro, tweaked in Lightroom and Photoshop, before finishing in Lightroom. Constructive feedback is always appreciated!

God I really hope the "AI" doesn't stand for Artificial Intelligence because... well, because if there's some mad genius in there cooking up some crazy advanced electronics that will one day overpower him and wreak havoc on the surrounding areas, I live a little too close for comfort. So if there's a mad genius creating machines with AI, I'd prefer it if he or she have the courtesy to relocate to, say, one of the Dakotas. It seems like they have lots of space up there. ;-P
