1980 wurde die schon 1972 verstaatlichte VEB Kamerafabrik Freital dem Kombinat VEB Pentacon Dresden eingegliedert. Kurz danach entstand die Beirette electronic, die bis 1988 produziert wurde.
Es ist eine Zeitautomatik mit Blendenvorwahl, ausreichende Belichtung wird im Sucher durch eine LED angezeigt. Der Zeitenbereich geht von 4 bis 1/500 Sekunde. Das Objektiv ist ein Meritar 2,8/42 mm.
Die Qualitätsanmutung hat gegenüber der alten Beirette nachgelassen.

This lovely machine is playing D-Train 'You're the one for me'. It's in a movie clip about house music, hence the slight moiré effect.
Die Revue electronic C erschien 1971 und hat dasselbe Innenleben wie die 7 Jahre später auf den Markt gekommene 700 SEL aus demselben Hause. Das Gehäuse war eben dem Zeitgeist angepaßt. Bei der ersten Ausführung hat man auch den Namen des Herstellers noch nicht verheimlicht, wie man an der Objektivbeschriftung sehen kann.
Das "Innenleben" war der damals sehr verbreitete „Copal B Mat special automatic programmed shutter“ wie bei der Konica C35. Dieser Verschluss bestand nur aus zwei Lamellen, die gleichzeitig als Blende dienten. Das bedeutete nichts anderes, als dass die Blendenöffnung in einem direkten Verhältnis zur Verschlusszeit stand: Je weiter offen die „Blende“, desto langsamer die Zeit. Folglich ergaben die Blenden/Zeit-Werte fixe Paare und gingen von f 2,8 – 1/30 Sek. bis f 14,3 – 1/650 Sek.
Vorhanden war auch die Blitz-Leitzahlen-Automatik, die die Blende je nach Entfernung einstellte.
Die praktisch nicht mehr erhältliche 1,35-Volt-Quecksilberbatterie kann durch eine billige 1,4-Volt-Hörgerätebatterie ersetzt werden.
worked a double shift, got off just in time for the amtrak at 10:00! Then i got there at 9:30 and set up and took a couple tests and thought it would be any minute. Then at 11:30 it finally came. When there is snow you get one try, so there aren't footprints. Waiting two hours in the cold for a one try photo is hard to do. Thank goodness my ipod was charged. ∆

Preparing the textile samples involved separating them from their folders which happily proved straightforward. Next, I researched the dimensions of the trending phones, pads & laptops, not the most interesting stage in the process but easily accessed. Most of the work were completed on my sewing machine with finishing second hand sewn. The whole project was completed within two working days with a satisfyingly large body of finished work, a relatively rare outcome for me.

Revue Electronic C - a specially cute incarnation of the Cosina 35 (Alfred has one: flic.kr/p/7GXMjV) - and Fomapan 200 in Rodinal 1+50 for ~8 min at 20°C. Digitalized using the Olympus 40-150mm kit lens and extension tubes.

After the fireworks were over, huge bright lights were turned on so the enormous crowd could find their way out of the park. We were on the water side of the hill, so it was still fairly dark where we were. However, the light of electronic devices lit the faces of my young Korean friends. The Gas Works are illuminated in the background.

Happy to go Black & White here so folks can focus on the shapes and not the lack of color. These are two mighty aircraft flying in a very special Heritage Flight Museum (HeritageFlight.org) fly day.
See this special HFM fly day was about telling the story of Boxer 22, the Vietnam War rescue attempt of two USAF F-4 Phantom aircrew. The son of the MIA Phantom pilot USAF Lt. Ben Danielson - USN Cmdr Brian "Steamer" Danielson - became a legend in his own right in the NAS Whidbey Island VAQ Wing now flying EA-18G Growlers also.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider not just flew "Sandy" rescue missions in the Vietnam War, but variants also worked in Airborne Electronic Attack. This Skyraider is safely in the loving care of Heritage Flight Museum.
