The Silette L was the first Agfa camera with built-in exposure meter, it went into production in 1955 and went on sale in 1956. This exposure meter was uncoupled, thus had its own adjustment wheel, and – like all electronic exposure meters of its time – worked with a selenium cell.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is Lockdown song. I must admit I’m very bad at music… Singing and dancing are a challenge… Also, I can listen to one song for a very, very long time without even noticing that it was playing forever… Luckily for me my husband is the one in charge of music at our home. After all, he is a very talented musician with his own awesome YouTube channel (and if you want to see by yourself here is the link: www.youtube.com/c/NuTrixTheSynthGuy/about). And my husband si truly into electronic music so that is our main lockdown musical genre playing everyday. If i have to name one band it is Daft Punk for sure.

My picture was inspired by electronic music and you can see some kind of device to make music (I have absolutely no idea how does it work so dont ask me…). Of course, Red Lady, who was a very successful DJ few years ago, is here with us since she loves electronic music !!

I hope you will like this picture my friends ! I wish you all an amazing day and a beautiful new week !! See you later !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Splendid Fairy-wren

Scientific Name: Malurus splendens

Description: The breeding plumage of the male is predominantly blue, varying from cobalt-blue in the east of its range to violet-blue in the west.It has black bands at the base of the tail (absent in the violet-blue birds), across the breast and from the beak, through the eyes to join a band across the back of its neck. Its crown and cheek patches are paler blue. Wings and long tail are brown with a blue wash. His beak is black and his legs and feet are brown-grey. In non-breeding plumage, called eclipse, he is very similar to the female, being pale brown above and buff to white underneath although he retains the blue wash on wings and tail. The female does not have the blue wash on her wings, but does have a reddish-tan line from beak to eye that extends into a ring around her eye. Her beak is reddish-tan.

Similar species: The male in breeding plumage is quite distinct but in eclipse he is similar to the males of other fairy-wrens in eclipse. A faint wash of blue on male wings during eclipse distinguishes this species from others. The female is similar to females of other fairy-wren species, but has a bluer tail than most.

Distribution: These birds are widely distributed across Australia in two areas. One area is from about Shark Bay south through WA, through SA except the coast to about the Flinders Ranges and the southern and central parts of NT. The eastern area include SA from the Flinders Ranges, the far north-western tip of Vic, NSW east to about Moree and Balranald and south central Qld.

Habitat: These birds live in arid to semi-arid areas, in mostly dense shrublands or woodlands of acacia, and mallee eucalypt with dense shrubs.

Seasonal movements: These birds are mostly sedentary, defending a territory all year, but the younger females may disperse to another territory. In some areas they are semi-nomadic, depending on local conditions.

Feeding: Like most of the fairy-wrens, Splendid Fairy-wrens eat mostly insects and forage on both the ground and in shrubs. They live in groups which forage together.

Breeding: The Splendid Fairy-wren female builds an oval domed nest of dry grass, strips of bark and rootlets, with an entrance two thirds of the way up one side. The female is the only member of the group to incubate the eggs, but all members of the group feed the chicks.

Calls: A rapid series of slightly metallic, high-pitched pips that blend into an "undulating" call.

Minimum Size: 12cm

Maximum Size: 14cm

Average size: 13cm

Average weight: 9g

Breeding season: mostly September-December, but can extend from August to April

Clutch Size: 2 to 4, mostly 3

Incubation: 15 days

Nestling Period: 11 days

The Alice River in central Queensland, Australia rises on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range. It has been very dry so the river is a series of waterholes - it needs a good flush. You can see the water marks on the trees from previous flows. The river bisects the Shire of Barcaldine, flowing in a south-westerly direction towards Isisford and its confluence with the Barcoo River to form Cooper Creek. Barcaldine is located on Lagoon Creek, which flows into the Alice River approximately five kilometre s to the south. The Alice River is often dry, except after the annual summer rains.

The Barcoo River forms the boundary of outback Australia with little in the way of civilization west of the Barcoo. Waters from the Barcoo and Alice Rivers flow towards Lake Eyre in Central Australia, while rivers further east join the Murray-Darling basin and reach the sea in South Australia. In 1846, Thomas Mitchell became the first European to see the Barcoo and Alice Rivers. The Alice River was named by Mitchell and Mitchell's name was adopted for the pastoral district and for its grass, Mitchell grass. (Source: Wikipedia)

Sacred Kingfisher

Scientific Name: Todiramphus sanctus

Description: The Sacred Kingfisher is a medium sized kingfisher. It has a turquoise back, turquoise blue rump and tail, buff-white underparts and a broad cream collar. There is a broad black eye stripe extending from bill to nape of neck. Both sexes are similar, although the female is generally lighter with duller upper parts. Young birds are similar to the female, but have varying amounts of rusty-brown edging to feathers on the collar and underparts, and buff edges on the wing coverts.

Distribution: The Sacred Kingfisher is common and familiar throughout the coastal regions of mainland Australia and less common throughout Tasmania. The species is also found on islands from Australasia to Indonesia and New Zealand.

Habitat: The Sacred Kingfisher inhabits woodlands, mangroves and paperbark forests, tall open eucalypt forest and melaleuca forest.

Seasonal movements: In Australia, Sacred Kingfishers spend the winter in the north of their range and return south in the spring to breed.

Feeding: Sacred Kingfishers forage mainly on the land, only occasionally capturing prey in the water. They feed on crustaceans, reptiles, insects and their larvae and, infrequently, fish. The birds perch on low exposed branch on the lookout for prey. Once prey is located, the Sacred Kingfisher swoops down and grasps it in its bill, returning to the perch to eat it.

Breeding: For most of the year Sacred Kingfishers are mainly solitary, pairing only for the breeding season. Usually two clutches are laid in a season. Both sexes excavate the nest, which is normally a burrow in a termite mound, hollow branch or river bank. The nest chamber is unlined and can be up to 20m above the ground. Both sexes also incubate the eggs and care for the young.

Calls: The voice of the Sacred Kingfisher is a loud "ek ek ek ek" repeated continuously throughout breeding season. Birds also give a "kee kee kee" in excitement and a series of chirring, scolding notes when alarmed.

Minimum Size: 19cm

Maximum Size: 24cm

Average size: 21cm

Average weight: 45g

Breeding season: September to December; occasionally extended to March, if conditions are favourable.

Clutch Size: 3 to 6

Incubation: 18 days

Nestling Period: 26 days

This event requires control, attention to detail, and a close partnership between horse and rider. Competing against the clock, contestants circle three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern and race back across the scoreline. Time is measured with an electronic eye timer, and a hundredth of a second can determine who wins. A rider may touch a barrel, but if she knocks one over a five-second penalty is added to her total time.

These brushes emit a musky odour. The caterpillars are striped. Pupa have metallic silvery sheen.

Other Names: Oleander Butterfly

Size: wingspan 70mm, Caterpillar about 50mm

Habitat: The Common Crow is found in open forest and woodland. Often seen in parks and gardens

Food: Common Crow Butterfly caterpillars feed on a wide range of native plants. They are often found in gardens feeding on Ficus (figs), Hoya, Mandevilla, Nerium oleander, Trachelospermum (star jasmines). The larvae eat the leaf and soft stem parts.

On my last night photographic outing through the wild and rustic countryside of La Mancha in the company of my two friends and fellow photographers Antonio and Isidro, we found "The Incredible Stone Roller Tree".

The sky was mainly overcast, offering a dull look, but there was a moment when it cleared a little, letting us see some stars, offering then a look with some rich and intriguing gradations and shades, like that mysterious green glow resembling a kind of amazing northern lights in the middle of the fields of La Mancha, or perhaps it may be the will-o'-the-wisp of a presumptuous and flirtatious ghost that, in his tormented wanderings through the earthly world and iin an outburnst of narcissism without parallel in the far beyond, tried to capture our attention yearning for a portrait ... 👻 In any case, whatever it was, here it is photographed for posterity 😉

Created in 1968, this work was in the inaugural show at the Studio Museum in Harlem when it opened in 1968. The alternating colored lights work in a programmed pattern reminiscent of traffic signals and theatre marquees. The pieces entered the Museum's collection in 1996 and by that time 3 of the 4 original motors were lost, the patterns seen now are approximations of the original programming.

Happy Bench Monday

A nice electronic device, but unfortunately obsolete - because the battery pack is not loading anymore. Now the bears use it for climbing and sliding before it is going to the recycling center. What a shame that the battery pack cannot be replaced - that's not environmentally-friendly and a real waste... In fact, I do not like those one-way items which cannot be repaired or partly be replaced.

Just to make it clear: ONLY THE SWEEPER IS OBSOLETE AND NOT THE BEARS !!!

Jan Theuninck has been painting the evolution of Western totalitarianism for 20 years - he saw the evolution within the political spectrum where the socialist parties were lost (Fagospatose, 2001) in the Third Way (The third way is no way, 2004) movement of Clinton , Blair and Schröder with which they gave a face to communitarianism of the New World Order. He has often compared the latter to a new kind of National Socialism. His attention has always been fixed thanks to the more than 50 years of misery with blackmail games of the services and torture practices with chemical and energy weapons (Beyond the limit, 2001, Rinascimento, 2009, The culture of learned helplessness, 2011, Neostasi, 2012, Derailed system , 2012, The banality of Evil, 2013, Zersetzung, 2014, ils nous tiennent, 2015, Submission, 2015, Threat, 2016, Utopia, 2016, Conformity, 2017, Brainwashing, 2018, Warnung, 2019, Dein Kampf, 2019, Censorship, 2020, Post-truth society, 2020 and in 2021: Political Pandemic, New World Order, The Great Reset, Angel Vaccine, Aryan Corona Passport, Cytokine Storm, Back from never been away .

Please read my previous writing below about the electronic universe.

Science fiction:

We might be living in an artificial universe, simulated universe, and we would really never know about it. A very advance-computer game made form creatures existed about 5 billions of years after big bang might have all functions we have as human and all functions of our universe. Until now, 14 billions of years have passed after big bang. We have recently discovered radio. If we survive more than nine billions of years, what kind of computer game we would create is obvious.

At the end, it doesn't matter that we might have an electronic universe instead of a universe from gases, stones, etc. What counts is "existence".

According the online information,

imaginary worlds are sometimes known as paracosms. These are probably most common around nine years of age and fade in the teenage years. Creativity and imagination are both will appear when an individual has an imaginary friend. Originality will be difficult to separate from creativity.
