Long exposure of the King's creek, leading to the King's fall, which unfortunately I was not able to see because the lookout got damaged in the fire last year and it has not been repaired yet. Got there a bit late, so the sun was not shining on the creek anymore.
Shot with the OM1 handheld, using the electronic ND filter. The image stabilization is amazing, the background is super crisp, the foreground is a bit fuzzy because it was too close to me. I am super happy not having to carry a tripod.

Light nights and late evenings force me to shoot in my kitchen with black out curtains and the lights turned off...
For this one I turned the circuit board to make it way out of parallel with the focal plane to make some great out of focus points of light.
All shot in one photographic exposure with a combination of flashguns and LED lights.
The days of the semaphores at Eddersheim are quickly drawing to a close. The new ESTW construction (electronic signal box) is well underway, and it wont be long before the Frankfurt-Wiesbaden loses its last real point of interest. A final surprise for the evening was 215 028 with two flatwagons. The train traffic was near constant with all the detoured freight and passenger trains and I was lucky not to get blocked by the approaching train behind me.
A nice electronic device, but unfortunately obsolete - because the battery pack is not loading anymore. Now the bears use it for climbing and sliding before it is going to the recycling center. What a shame that the battery pack cannot be replaced - that's not environmentally-friendly and a real waste... In fact, I do not like those one-way items which cannot be repaired or partly be replaced.
Just to make it clear: ONLY THE SWEEPER IS OBSOLETE AND NOT THE BEARS !!!

Created in 1968, this work was in the inaugural show at the Studio Museum in Harlem when it opened in 1968. The alternating colored lights work in a programmed pattern reminiscent of traffic signals and theatre marquees. The pieces entered the Museum's collection in 1996 and by that time 3 of the 4 original motors were lost, the patterns seen now are approximations of the original programming.

With so many electronic hand held devices out there the soft ended stylus is now favoured by those whose fingers are not as mobile or small. So I thought this would fit the theme of macro evolution, before and after, especially since I couldn't find my fountain pen!! (Apologies for the mangling of the quotation)
