Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Parts VI–IX
"Shine On You Crazy Diamond", was written as a tribute to Syd Barrett, one of the founders of Pink Floyd. He was also known as "The Crazy Diamond Syd". Barrett was a very creative musician and is considered one of the rock icons, with a strong influence on many artists, very especially to David Bowie. Syd Barrett is a key piece to understand the evolution of rock in the 70s.. Excessive drug use, especially LSD, caused him serious mental health problems. Syd Barrett died in 2006 at the age of 60. Always shine diamond.
The Universal is a science fiction song written as a tribute to two films by film director Stanley Kubrick. In the video, the Blur members wear outfits similar to Alex and his gang of thugs, the protagonists of the movie "A Clockwork Orange." The image used for the cover of the single alluded to what is possibly Kubrick's best film: "2001: To Space Odyssey."

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is Lockdown song. I must admit I’m very bad at music… Singing and dancing are a challenge… Also, I can listen to one song for a very, very long time without even noticing that it was playing forever… Luckily for me my husband is the one in charge of music at our home. After all, he is a very talented musician with his own awesome YouTube channel (and if you want to see by yourself here is the link: www.youtube.com/c/NuTrixTheSynthGuy/about). And my husband si truly into electronic music so that is our main lockdown musical genre playing everyday. If i have to name one band it is Daft Punk for sure.
My picture was inspired by electronic music and you can see some kind of device to make music (I have absolutely no idea how does it work so dont ask me…). Of course, Red Lady, who was a very successful DJ few years ago, is here with us since she loves electronic music !!

Metrea Aerospace has 4 KC135 aircraft and supports Military operations.
The Boeing KC-135 aerial refuelling tanker was developed from the Boeing 717, a shorter and narrower aircraft based on the Boeing 707 airliner. First entering service in 1957, eventually 803 KC-135s were produced between 1955 and 1965. In addition to the KC-135, the basic C-135 has also been developed into a number of specialist roles including the RC-135 Rivet Joint electronic reconnaissance aircraft which is operated by both the USAF and the RAF. The remaining KC-135s have been upgraded with CFM56 engine giving the type 60% greater range and is 25% more fuel efficient.
Llandudno
A few sightings on Facebook of the Northern Lights at Llandudno on Friday morning! Since we were staying over on the Saturday it would be rude not to have a look and see if we got lucky. After sitting down near the prom enjoying a KFC(we'd arrived late!) and taking a test shots it was obvious we weren't going to see the Northern Lights.
Since we were out we thought we'd make our way around to the left of the pier. It was around 10pm by this point and the tide was coming in but we still had a bit of beach to ourselves. Its pretty well lit up with the light from the pier and the streetlights behind us on the cliff but that helped with the exposure time.
I gave Rebecca a bit of help since this was the first time shooting with her new camera in the dark. I find electronic view finders are great for shooting at night, much clearer than a DSLR. After that its just work out the exposure, then we found out that Rebecca has in camera noise reduction on! So a 2 minute shot equals another 2 minutes of waiting. That needs turning off... and the stupid beeping on the self timer lol!
