Helvella elastica, commonly known as the flexible Helvella, or the elastic saddle, is a species of fungi in the Helvellaceae family, Pezizales order. It is found in Asia, Europe, and North America. It has a roughly saddle-shaped yellow-brown cap atop a whitish stipe, and grows on soil in woods.
Im Graben eines Waldweges standen jede Menge dieser Lorcheln. Der "Biegetest" entpuppte sie als die elastische. Sieht alles schön saftig grün aus und an der Stelle war es tatsächlich ein wenig feucht. In Trockenzeiten lohnt es sich vielfach die Wegränder und Strassengräben abzusuchen.

A recent fire finished off this giant rubber fig tree (Ficus elastica) that unfortunately never recovered from severe pruning of its branches.

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC): tras estar fuera de servicio desde enero de 2018, para realizar trabajos de renovación completa de las infra y superestructuras, y la instalación de nuevos bastidores en los dos coches (fabricados por Leitner) el 17 de agosto de 2020 se puso de nuevo en servicio el funicular de la Santa Cova. Esta corta línea (262 metros) salva un desnivel de 115 m. Tiene el trazado habitual de los funiculares, con punto de cruce en el medio, y dos coches movidos desde la maquinaria situada en la estación superior. En servicio comercial, normalmente solo presta servicio uno de los dos coches. La vía es de ancho métrico y, tras la renovación, usa carriles de perfil convencional Vignole con sujeciones elásticas.

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC): after being out of service since January 2018, to carry out complete renovation work on the infra and superstructures, and the installation of new frames on the two cars (manufactured by Leitner), on August 17, 2020, the Santa Cova funicular was put into service again. This short line (262 meters) saves a slope of 115 m. It has the usual layout of the funiculars, with a crossing point in the middle, and two cars moved from the machinery located in the upper station. In commercial service, normally only one of the two cars is in service. The track is metric gauge and, after renovation, uses conventional Vignole profile rails with elastic fasteners.

Morning glory is the common name for over 1,000 species of flowering plants in the family Convolvulaceae.
Morning glory was first known in China for its medicinal uses, due to the laxative properties of its seeds.
It was introduced to the Japanese in the 9th century, and they were the first to cultivate it as an ornamental flower. During the Edo period, it became very popular. The Japanese have led the world in developing varieties. Hundreds have evolved, such as a brownish coloured variant known as Dajuro, and varieties with such evocative names as 'Brocade of Dawn', 'Moon in the Dusk' and 'Wisteria Girl'. It has come to symbolize summer in Japanese horticulture and art.
Ancient Mesoamerican civilizations used the morning glory species Ipomoea alba to convert the latex from the Castilla elastica tree and also the guayule plant to produce bouncing rubber balls. The sulfur in the morning glory's juice served to vulcanize the rubber, a process predating Charles Goodyear's discovery by at least 3,000 years. Aztec priests in Mexico were also known to use the plant's hallucinogenic properties (see Rivea corymbosa).

Questa immagine è stata scattata il 27 aprile 2020 quando bere il caffè fuori dal bar era proibito...in Friuli era consentito poterlo prenotare tramite WhatsApp o tramite posta elettronica ma poi,dopo essere andati a ritirarlo nel locale,si poteva berlo a casa,tra le mura domestiche. Dopo aver svolto diligentemente la prima osservanza,avuto la preziosa tazzina,in plastica,tra le mani non abbiamo saputo resistere e siamo immediatamente caduti in tentazione....berlo caldissimo,appena fatto e contravvenire le ordinanze ministeriali è stato tutt'uno !!!
Attraversata la strada siamo stati avvolti dall'aroma e,con un pò di apprensione abbiamo infranto la legge !!! Evvaaaai !!!

This image was taken on April 27, 2020 when drinking coffee outside the bar was prohibited ... in Friuli it was allowed to be able to book it via WhatsApp or via e-mail but then, after going to collect it in the restaurant, you could drink it at home, within the home walls. After diligently carrying out the first observance, we had the precious plastic cup in our hands we could not resist and we immediately fell into temptation .... drinking it hot, freshly made and contravening the ministerial ordinances was one! !
Crossed the road we were wrapped in the aroma and, with a little apprehension, we broke the law !!! Evvaaaaiiii !!!!
