L'Eixample is smack bang in the middle of Barcelona. Its grid patterned streets are host to a number of striking buildings and fantastic architecture, especially around the area around Passeig de Gracia and La Ramblas. Here you will also find the extraordinary Sagrada Familia. This controversial church, unfinished because of the untimely death of its architect, Antoni Gaudí, in 1926, has become the city's most visited monument. A perfect area for visitors looking to explore the city, L’Eixample has brilliant transport links and there is always plenty to see and do. Ictineo

The submarine was originally constructed in 1862 from the plans of Narcis Monturiol I Estarriol (1819 -1886), and that the original Ictineo II actually navigated the waters in the Port of Barcelona. The Ictineo II was the first vehicle of its time to submerge and navigate below the surface of the sea, the first “real” submarine.

Constructed on a smaller scale than the Ictineo II, the Ictineo underwent a successful launch and testing in 1859 but then was smashed by a freighter as it was sitting at the dock. Eventually, Monturiol was able to arrange funding for a second, larger Ictineo. When completed, Ictineo II was a two-walled submarine, outfitted with a steam-driven engine able to operate under water. The Ictineo One was operated by man power.

Homenatge a Joan Brossa.

Modern household equipment in 1910...

Exhibition in the Casa Milà in Barcelona, Spain (also known as La Pedrera, 'The Quarry'), designed by Antoni Gaudí, was built in 1905–1912. It is located in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was a controversial design at the time for the bold forms of the undulating stone facade and wrought iron decoration of the balconies and windows, designed largely by Josep Maria Jujol, who also created some of the plaster ceilings. Architecturally it is considered an innovative work for its steel structure and curtain walls – the façade is self-supporting. Other innovative elements were the construction of underground car parking and separate lifts and stairs for the owners and their servants.

In 1984, it was declared World Heritage by UNESCO.

Sightseeing in Barcelona, Spain, organized by our corporate marketing conference, in June 2002. The theme of the conference was creativity - the sightseeing supported it by focusing on Gaudi's work as a modernist architect.

Kiállítás a Casa Milá egyik lakásában. Városnézés Barcelonában 2002. júniusában, a vállalati marketing konferencia keretében. Az Intercontinental Hotelben szálltunk és a konferencia helyszíne is ez volt. A kreativitás volt a fő téma, eköré szervezték még a városnézést is, Antonio Gaudi építész munkáival.
