November 2015---If I had a cent for every photo ever taken like this, I'd probably be a billionaire!!! ;-)

Long exposure on the road in front of Eiffel Tower. It was a bit dangerous standing on the road expecially the way they drive over there...lol. This is my final rendition...

Eiffel Tower, Paris, France

I got loose in Paris one evening and took this from the Pont de Alma bridge looking towards the Pont d'lena and the tower. There was a rotating search light that stabbed the evening sky and I caught it in a 1.6 second shot that left a wide swath of light in the sky.

I was pleased with all the colors from the opposite side of the river. This was a Saturday evening and it was warm and clear so the city was crowded with both locals and of course tourists.

The Eiffel Tower was built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, which was to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the French Revolution. Its construction in 2 years, 2 months and 5 days was a veritable technical and architectural achievement. "Utopia achieved", a symbol of technological prowess, at the end of the 19th Century it was a demonstration of French engineering personified by Gustave Eiffel, and a defining moment of the industrial era. It was met immediately with tremendous success.

Only intended to last 20 years, it was saved by the scientific experiments that Eiffel encouraged, and in particular by the first radio transmissions, followed by telecommunications. For example, the radio signals from the Pantheon Tower in 1898; it served as a military radio post in 1903; it transmitted the first public radio programme in 1925, and then broadcast television up to TNT more recently.

La torre Eiffel

Una de las cuatro patas que sostienen la torre.Debido al entramado de las vigas la torre nunca se inclina más de 12 cm, incluso con vientos huracanados.

One of the four legs which support the tower.Because of the web of the beams never tower leans 12 cm even with high winds .

My version of Eiffel Tower. There is longer story behind it, read it at crazy.builders

Probably one of the most photographed structures in the world, but hopefully a slightly different perspective - though no doubt shot countless times! If you're interested it was taken from the north pillar looking south.

Spent a weekend in Paris to see Muse and then went to Glastonbury, hence I haven't been to active on here! Hoping to get back into the swing of it soon...

It was such an overcast day I thought I'd do this in B&W but it made the white sky, well, too white! It almost glowed. So I've had a go at B&W tinting to try and calm it down at the bottom at least - let me know what you think!

My friend wanted me to draw the Eiffel Tower, so I drew it and then added some color and stuff. Hope you like it!

Seen beautifully lit up is the Eiffel Tower which had recently celebrated its 125th anniversary.

This view, I presume, requires no particular introduction. Just came back after spending six nights in Paris. Had never been to France before! I got this shot from the roof terrace of Montparnasse Tower.
