Eiffel Tower standing in the middle looking up. They were doing some work on it at the time which is what the green is. We didn't go up because the queue was too long and we hadn't thought to pre-book.
I like the way parallax makes it seem like the Eiffel tower is no bigger than these street lights. I had to take quite a few photos to get one that lined up just the way I wanted.

I really can't believe that there are people who actually want to climb the stairs on the Eiffel Tower!
Engineer Gustave Eiffel, designed and built the tower in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair. The tower is 324 metres tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building. It is the tallest structure in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world. The tower received its 250 millionth visitor in 2010.

The structure was built between 1887 and 1889 as the entrance arch for the Exposition Universelle, a World's Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution. Eiffel originally planned to build it in Barcelona, for the Universal Exposition of 1888, but those responsible at the Barcelona city hall thought it was a strange construction, and expensive, which did not fit into the city.

This place has a problem with toilets. There's only one, and when it's out of action, you're in for a whole world of hurt trying to find alternative toilets. Staff here, as French as you can get, are not helpful.
