LA TORRE EIFFEL
Para acceder al piso superior existen 8 ascensores. Sin embargo, para muchos visitantes, subir los 1.665 escalones con los que cuenta el monumento es todo un reto imposible de olvidar..
Con una altura inicial de 300 metros, que posteriormente fue prolongada con una antena de otros 24, la Torre Eiffel fue la estructura más alta del mundo durante 41 años.
La Torre Eiffel es el monumento más visitado del mundo con más de 7 millones de visitantes anuales.
Created by Gustave Eiffel, the construction of the Eiffel Tower lasted just over two years and 250 workers worked there.
The artists of the moment considered it monstrous and the possibility of demolishing it on different occasions was raised.
With the advent of world wars on the twentieth century, the authorities found its usefulness as a broadcasting antenna and with it they captured messages that helped the allies decisively.
Nowadays, the Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument in the world with more than 7 million annual visitors.

One of the best views of the Eiffel Tower is from the Trocadero with "la dame de fer" in the background. It is a visit that should not be missed. Absolutely spectacular views!

Just back from a trip to London and Paris. Wandering underneath La Tour Eiffel, the sun just happened to be in the perfect spot for this shot. SOOC.
Yesterday, i gone to Eiffel Tower, i was surprised when i saw the sakura. This day a lot rain and wind has come, but this sakura was a surprise.

This time last year I was starting to prepare for my trip to Italy. After touring from Milan down to Sicily, we visited Paris for just one day.
I wish I had better photos of the Notre Dame Cathedral, which unfortunately I do not. The few I do have are very bright with tons of tourists standing in front. Perhaps when I can find some time I will try to do some editing to salvage the images.
I do however have a number of photos I took of the Eiffel Tower. This is one of my favorites from the day.

It was erected on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition that was held in Paris in 1889, according to the design of the engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. Although it had to be disassembled so that this exhibition ended, it was decided not to do so.
When it was built it was the tallest monument in the world, 300 meters high, and weighed around 7,300 tons.
Depending on the ambient temperature, the peak of the Eiffel Tower can approach or move away from the base about eight centimeters, due to the thermal expansion of the metal.
The maintenance of the tower includes the application of fifty tons of paint every five years, with the intention of protecting it from corrosion.
One of a few sunny days during my staying in France. The Parisian sky reflects a beautiful light, and the clouds are so characteristics. Amazing afternoon.
