Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and we will celebrate that (again) with an egg picture. Yes, I’m having eggs this morning for sure with a coffee. This should give me lots of energy to jumpstart my day.
Another video meeting will start in a few minutes and honestly I wonder where did the time go ? It is already mid December and we have only a few video meetings left… And I have a strange feeling that I will miss those meetings… But something tells me that working from home isn’t over yet ! We are supposed to have another lockdown during the holidays so the video meetings will still be there in 2021…
Have an amazing day my friends and see you later !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or a purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is eggs from chickens & co. Of course in my case it will be chicken eggs since that is the only kind of eggs I have in my kitchen right now….
And since yesterday was a B&W picture, let's put some colors on my today’s post. Be careful: very bold and bright colors ahead !! I don’t want you to burn your retina by watching my picture for too long…As for the eggs in my picture: those are my favorite painted eggs (I painted them myself) from my personal collection. You have seen some of them in previous pictures …. We all know by now that chicken floating eggs are my favorite of all times !!
I hope it will make you smile !! Happy SOS !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! Have a beautiful day !

Hello my Flickr Friends !
Today is a black & white day at Color my World Daily Group and yesterday we had a small party so I definitely feel like a post processed picture from Sliders Sunday Group (lol that doesn’t make any sense but it is my general feeling today …).
So here is my very late and last minute emergency black & white picture from my archives.
Happy CMWD and Happy Sliders Sunday to all participants !! And awesome day to all Flickr users !!
I will try to catch up as soon as possible with your comments and Photostreams but since I’m officially on vacation with my sons my activity on Flickr will be rather slow for the next few days …I apologize for that!! Have a beautiful day my friends!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr!!
Eggs
Spotted on a leaf on our Nandina plant. I am not sure what sort of creature has laid them or how long they have been there.
First time spotting these lacewing eggs... with a day of rain, I hope they didn't get washed off.... but it would be great if the aphids got washed off... they are everywhere!!
for Smile on Saturday: eggs from chickens & co
Choc flake cake
4 ozs SR Flour + one tsp baking powder, sieved
4 ozs caster sugar
4 ozs soft marge
2 eggs + half tsp vanilla extract, beaten
Put all in a bowl and mix together with an electric mixer
Stir in 2 ozs grated/finely chopped dark choc
Bake in a greased and lined loaf tin approx 40 mins at 160C - Enjoy!
p.s. I don't usually put the cracked egg shells in the bowl with the egg - just for photograpic purposes!!
Danbo has also participated in the Easter egg hunt. He has found two eggs and is transporting them in a small cart. They are for two friends in Australia: Bogart and Daddy

It is curious that figurative arts do not take the eggs into consideration. You can walk around the halls of a large museum without finding a still life with eggs. Vegetables stand out by far. Yet their shape is perfect and they would like to lend themselves like bottles with infinite compositions.

Le uova sono veramente sfortunate: finiscono molto spesso soffocate o affogate. E quando va loro meno peggio, vengono strapazzate.
The eggs are really unlucky: they end up very often suffocated or drowned. And when it's worse for them, they get scrambled.

This is one egg eating crow. Several times I've seen crow and other birds with eggs, which I think are turtle eggs but I'm not sure. If anyone has any information, feel free to chime in. I've seen crows hard at it digging into the ground, and I suspected that this was what they were after. Surprisingly, the egg doesn't crack in their beak, and they are able to fly with it. If anyone can also confirm my identification of this as an American Crow, Corvus brachyrhynchos, please do so. Thanks

My grandfather from Ireland used to eat his soft boiled eggs in a shot glass. Along with a cup of tea and his dog Buff sitting at his side.
Romanian Easter egg, two painted from Bukovina and one beaded, made in Transylvania.
The origin of painted Easter eggs 'goes back at least a couple of centuries, and today they represent the most popular image of this major Orthodox religious holiday.' (www.uncover-romania.com/attractions/history-culture/tradi...)
