I'm feeling appreciative today.
I really admire the effort it takes for designers to make the things they do. The hours put in to fashioning an object - even virtually, is more often than not a process of hours sometimes days.
I like to include attribution to my posts where possible because they should quite rightly be recognised for that. Now... does that make this commercial or just giving credit where due?
Kudos and my thanks go to :
{anc} - Thank you for making this amazing surgical mask with tassels and sequins! (This was a free gift from last year at The Arcade)
Thank you Azoury - for making this wonderful hat "Yuriy Chapka". It inspired me to make these images. This creation is available at Shiny Shabby
Thank you Castiel - who made the fur collar which is part of another outfit (Innuendo) that they designed in 2013. It is still one of my favourite objects.
My thanks also to Ys&Ys for creating the Belinda skin - I love the realistic details put in to that and I'm using that in this shot with the Lelutka Simone Head. This model has very sharp features and bone structure that gives it elegance.
IKON made these eyes (Vanity SIlver Leaf)
Finally - Thank you to Skye Studios for making the Enchanted tree tunnel which makes season changing as simple as a click of the mouse! :)

The Ministry of Time
Chapter III: The Saboteur's Plan
The style card and credits here
When Richard materialized in the bustling streets of New York in the year 2025, he immediately felt a disturbance in the temporal fabric. People were passing by in a hurry, unaware of the imminent danger lurking in the shadows. Following the coordinates provided by the Ministry, Richard and his companion headed towards the vicinity of a nuclear plant. As they approached, they saw a suspicious figure hunched over a device of peculiar appearance typing rapidly on it. With stealth and precision, Richard approached the saboteur, while his pulse throbbed with electric intensity. Suddenly, footsteps were heard resonating beside him, and Agent Pablo Torres emerged from the shadows, his weapon drawn and ready.
"We have you now," proclaimed Pablo with firm and authoritative voice.
The saboteur leaped and started running as Richard and Pablo chased after him. At a certain point, he abruptly stopped and with a cold smile on his face, rummaged in a pocket and pulled out a small device that he activated with a click. With a dazzling flash of light, a temporal distortion opened before him. Before Richard or Pablo could react, the saboteur disappeared into the temporal vortex, leaving the agents astonished and without clues to follow his trail.
Back at the Ministry, Richard and Pablo faced the harsh reality of their failure. The saboteur had escaped, leaving behind more questions than answers. As they discussed what had happened, Richard noticed that Pablo was out of breath, with a hand on his chest.
"Are you okay, Pablo?" asked Richard, concerned.
Pablo nodded with a weak smile. "I don't think I'll be able to join you in the next pursuit," he admitted.
Richard furrowed his brow, visibly worried about his friend's health. Later, after leaving Pablo in the infirmary, Richard reflected with amazement: "It's the first time we've seen interdimensional portals open wherever one desires. This complicates things a lot."
With time running out, they knew they had to redouble their efforts to stop the saboteur's sinister plans and protect the timeline at all costs.

This majestic waterfall located in the Torres del Paine National Park is a true spectacle and visiting it is not difficult at all: the path is direct, wide and well marked, starting from a parking lot. In a short time and without effort you will be in front of a cliff that will allow you to see the waterfall of Lake Nordenskjöld briefly become the Paine River and decant into Lake Pehoé. At 15 meters high, it is not one of the largest waterfalls but it does have undeniable beauty!
Während meiner Bemühungen, den Turmfalken näher zu kommen, habe ich zufällig auch eine nette Location entdeckt mit Hausrotschwänzen, die zum Glück auch nicht allzu scheu sind.
During my efforts to get closer to the kestrels, I also discovered by chance a nice location with house redtails, which fortunately are not too shy either.
A just reward for all the effort it had put in.........
Snipe
Scientific name
Gallinago gallinago
A medium-sized wader, the snipe lives in marshes, wet grassland and moorlands, where it nests in simple scrapes. It uses its long, probing bill to find insects, earthworms and crustaceans in the mud, typically swallowing prey whole. During the breeding season, males can be heard making a unique 'drumming' sound as their tail feathers vibrate in the wind as they perform their aerial courtship displays.
How to identify
Snipe are brown, with an intricate pattern of black and gold bars, and a stripy brown and gold head. They have short, greyish-green legs and a very long, straight bill. The snipe is smaller than the similar-looking woodcock and is a bird of grasslands and moorlands, rather than woodlands.
Did you know?
Snipe have a flexible tip to the beak that is full of nerves; this helps them to feel for worms deep underground and then open the end of their beak to grab them.
It took Charlie the Trout three days to wiggle out of the lake to this point. He thought it would be great fun to slide through the snow into the lake. Wilbur the Bald Eagle thought Charlie would make a great meal. Charlie slid down Wilbur's gullet. Not the experience Charlie expected.

The Caballo lighthouse is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful lighthouses in Spain. Located on Monte Buciero de Santoña (Cantabria), getting there is not easy, but it is worth it.
Some 763 steps separate you from Paradise. The lighthouse is on the cliff of Mount Buciero, at the entrance to the Santoña estuary and fell into disuse in 1993.
It can also be accessed from the sea, when conditions allow berthing, ascending more than 100 steps along this route.

Just about to start packing up when I noticed the rays - so glad I made the effort. This one captures the mood of the afternoon perfectly.
The effort of restorating these Candi Siwa is still continuing and has produced a fantastic monumental masterpiese which we can enjoy. Visiting the complex of Candi Siwa at Prambanan will set our imaginations lose, and the impression is fantastic or amazing.

The misty atmosphere in the burned area of the mountains contrasted by the mossy rocks in the foreground caught my eye as we were driving along WA Highway 20 in North Cascades National Park. This national park is overshadowed by other big name parks Like Glacier NP and Olympic NP, but it is worth the effort to get there.

This was my entry for our Wakering Photography Group December’s 10” X 8” printed challenge, the theme being “Candle/Candles”
My friend Dave Sutton was kind enough to pose for me as Ebenezer Scrooge.
I collected the props I needed with the help of my friend Dave Denby who kindly 3D printed the candle stick holder.
I was really pleased with the outcome, I thought the time effort and location culminated in a realistic scene.
This male kōlea is about two weeks from his annual migration to the Alaskan tundra. Looking fat and dapper in his breeding plumage, he will somehow sense the time to congregate with other previously solitary kōlea and depart collectively. The trip spans over approximately 3,000 miles of open ocean requiring a rigorous, energy intensive effort of 3 to 4 days and nights of nonstop flight at elevation ranging from 3,000 to 16,000 feet. Superb navigators with territorial fidelity, kōlea use the stars and the earth’s magnetic field to find their way over the featureless ocean to the same small patch of territory every year. They may use the earth’s magnetic field visually with the magnetoreception molecules of cryptochrome in their retina.
But once they are airborne they seem to have an effortless means of flight. Black Browed Albatross photographed in the Chilean Fjords.

Some poor planning, along with a little laziness put me in a predicament that would leave me with just about zero possibilities of a decent shot. C789 dodges the shadows at Van Dyne on its way to Green Bay for C Reis.

One more from Poinsett Bridge. I took Photo-John's advice darkened the shot a bit for mood along with a bit of desaturation. I then replaced the original with nellatrab's crop suggestion. A group effort on this one.

Exceptional presence of ST43 locomotives in passenger traffic service in summer 2004 around Jasło wasn't out of reason. If you read the story at this picture, you probably remember the sudden disappearance of all non-modernized SP32 class commencing on July 1, 2004. The impact of this fact on the locomotives inventory in the middle of summer season must have effected in increasing employment of other classes, mostly ST43s usually available in Jasło, and some SP42s, reassigned quite promptly to the Jasło depot. ST43s used to be employed mostly for heavier express trains then, usually mode demanding in terms of tractive effort requirement.

most people on the street are just figures. but this man carries his own frame. a heavy, metal rectangle that separates him from the world. he is both the worker and the artwork. his gaze is direct, a quiet statement from within the structure he holds. it is a portrait of labor, a story about the unseen effort that goes into creating the frames in which we see the world.

An interesting operation on the old Seaboard in Florida were the phosphate trains that ran from the Bone Valley region's strip mines to the docks in Tampa. Here on 14 March 1987, the Clear Springs Switcher brings a train of empties down the Valrico Sub in Bartow. Powering the train is a U36B-MATE-MATE-U36B road slug set led by the 5759. The MATEs (Motors to Assist Tractive Effort) were custom designed by GE to pair up with the high horsepower U-boats.
A few hours later than previous photo. Fingers frozen, and getting tired. On the way back to the highway we came across a Captrain engine waiting to leave the Alaska section. This would have been a nice one to follow, but me and my friends lights were fading out so it was time to head back to our respective homes.

The bottlenose dolphins put on a fantastic show at St Cyrus while we were watching for the humpback whale on Sunday afternoon. They were incredibly difficult to photograph because it was impossible to know where they'd jump out next, and then there was a split second to try to get the camera pointed in the right direction, hoping it would focus in time! I took a few photos (and these are my 4 best efforts), but spent most of the time just enjoying the show!
Queshuachaca Bridge, possibly from Quechua or q'iswa - a rope of twisted dried maguey or ichhu. (Chaka bridge, "rope bridge", also spelled Keshwa Chaca, Q'iswa Chaca, Keswachaka, Q'eshwachaka, Qeswachaka, Q'eswachaca, Q'eswachaka, Queshuachaca, Queswachaka).
Consisting of ropes made of grass and spanning the Apurimac River near Huinchiri, in Quehue District, Canas Province, Peru, is the last remaining Inca rope bridge.
Even though there is a modern bridge nearby, the residents of the region keep the ancient tradition and skills alive by renewing the bridge annually, in June. Several family groups have each prepared a number of grass-ropes to be formed into cables at the site, others prepare mats for decking, and the reconstruction is a communal effort. In ancient times the effort would have been a form of tax, with participants coerced to perform the rebuilding; nowadays the builders have indicated that effort is performed to honor their ancestors and the Pachamama (Earth Mother).

After making the effort to hike up to Arten Gill viaduct (avoiding the less than friendly farmer), it was a shame Colas had turned out this dog of a loco on the logs.
