On Sunday, over 60 volunteers in Salem participated in 350.org's 10/10/10 Global Work Party, "a day to celebrate climate solutions" by planting trees on Harbor St. and Jefferson Ave. and weatherizing a home to make it more energy efficient, while children from the First Universalist Church and the First Church made environmentally themed banners and artwork on the Common. The event was organized by Salem Alliance for the Environment and Salem's Renewable Energy Task Force, which will be doing more home weatherizations over the coming year.

Energia pulita integrata in un modello di business che spazia dalla mobilità elettrica al supporto per l’autoconsumo collettivo all’efficientamento di edifici e impianti industriali
Rinnovabili, efficientamento energetico, mobilità elettrica. L’attenzione all’impatto su società e ambiente coniugato con il profitto. E la promozione di una nuova cultura dell’energia. Sono i punti cardinali del modello integrato di business di Plenitude, nata lo scorso marzo dal rebranding di Eni gas e luce, società che, nel 2021, è stata la prima grande azienda italiana del settore dell’energia ad aggiornare il proprio statuto sociale diventando Società Benefit.
Una forma societaria che permette a Plenitude di abbracciare in modo nuovo e integrato la dimensione sociale e ambientale. Creare valore condiviso non è un qualcosa di cui devono beneficiare solo gli stakeholder, ma anche la collettività, il tessuto sociale e gli ecosistemi. In questa chiave, Plenitude prosegue lungo la strategia di acquisizioni importanti per allargare il suo portafoglio di progetti di energia sostenibile. L’ultimo passo risale ai primi di dicembre con la firma di un accordo per l’acquisizione del 100% di PLT, grazie al quale l’azienda inserisce in portafoglio più di 400 MW di asset rinnovabili nel Belpaese.
Con gli asset di PLT, Plenitude supererà i 2 GW di capacità installata da rinnovabili. E si tiene in linea per raggiungere l’obiettivo di arrivare a più di 6 GW entro il 2025 per poi salire a 15 GW nel 2030. Più del 20% della nuova capacità rinnovabile di cui l’Italia si deve dotare entro fine decennio, secondo le stime di Terna e Snam, per centrare gli obiettivi del pacchetto europeo Fit for 55.
Entro il 2040, la capacità di produzione di energia elettrica da fonti rinnovabili derivante da impianti proprietari consentirà a Plenitude di coprire l’intero fabbisogno di energia elettrica della base di clienti. Per ora, a fine 2021, dei 7,6 TWh di energia fornita in Italia, 3 TWh sono energia elettrica certificata. Gli impianti di proprietà, sempre l’anno scorso, hanno generato 944 GWh di energia da fonti rinnovabili, il triplo del 2020.
Il modello integrato di business portato avanti da Plenitude poggia su 3 pilastri fondamentali: la produzione di energie da fonti rinnovabili, i servizi energetici e la mobilità elettrica.
Attraverso la controllata Be Charge, l’azienda possiede una rete di oltre 12.000 punti di ricarica su suolo pubblico. Rete che mira a espandere, triplicandola, per arrivare a 30.000 colonnine entro il 2025 in tutta Europa. Sul fronte dell’efficienza, l’azienda punta sulla riqualificazione energetica di edifici e impianti produttivi. Con gli energy performance contract (EPC) fornisce analisi energetiche dei siti e individua soluzioni per l’efficientamento degli impianti per PMI e grandi imprese, offerta che si affianca a quella per il segmento residenziale. Il passo seguente saranno le comunità energetiche e l’autoconsumo collettivo.
Nell’ambito delle iniziative di sostenibilità la società si è impegnata a raggiungere il target di emissioni nette pari a zero entro il 2040, fornendo il 100% di energia decarbonizzata a tutti i clienti. In parallelo all’impegno contro le emissioni corre quello per rendere più sostenibile la catena di approvvigionamento sotto il profilo ambientale e sociale.
