I noticed this interesting effect when taking pics of my son's ipod with flash on (left pic) and flash off (right pic). I think it might be caused by the top layer of the screen acting as a polarizing 'filter' or mirror, reflecting most of the light from the flash. Or maybe just the fact that the flash light is much brighter than the screen itself. Any educated comments or better explanations are appreciated! Thanks.
