These are my final four illustrations drawn in pen over acrylic paint through a gradient effect with a sponge. They're my development ideas from my Indian Summer themed mood-board, which focused on texture, blending, focal point and direction. My inspiration was taken from Hilda Glasgow and Lucia Emanuela Curzi's rush effect from blotches to dabbing in an inky pen to a gradual sponge effect.

However, I interpreted this by using Indian Summer colours, giving me the idea to tye-dye/naturally dye my light weight material followed by having curved edges, fitted shape and flare.

I turned on the miniature effect. I think it worked! :p

The Hawthorne Effect applies to a situation when a manager expresses interest in an employee and observes them. This attention acts as a psychological stimulus for that employee, compelling them to increase their productivity. The manager’s behavior inherently affects the worker’s level of performance.

We caught this picture of the manager of Walgreens doing his annual review on employees. He was examining the way his employees do their daily tasks, and through his monitoring, the employee raised his level of performance. The abilities of the employee seemed to heighten through the manager’s specific attention on him.

Taken with the same D300s that was dunked in the creek a little over a week ago. Despite the wisdom of two repair stores and the Nikon Service Center, it is working again (for now). Only problem so far is that it is in "continual" fire mode as opposed to "single" shot mode. If that is the worst I have to deal with I can live with it!

The decal is, for the most part, opaque.

The underlying glaze transparent.

A nice floating effect (porcelain at the base, transparent glaze intermediate, decal surface).

This photo was so busy. I softened the background and put more detail into the foreground with an ink outline filter. Desaturated and then colorized.
