* I made my annual pilgrimage to RSPB Bempton on Wednesday evening . It was unusual weather on the cliffs, warm and still instead of the usual chilly East wind . It obviously effected the birds the Gannets in particularly were flying much lower down the cliffs instead of being at eye level. It made flight shots much more difficult . I have to say I was not too concerned about getting too many images . I still have a lot of photos from Bempton in the archives from 2018, 2019 and 2020
This is one of the few I did take as I was using a long lens 500 mm I could not get it wide enough to catch all the Gannets wing . Stepping back to get a wider view would have been difficult Still I am quite happy with the result.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM. I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .
So I went out my back door to take out the trash and there were over thirty Monarch butterflies in my tiny urban backyard! I thought I had walked into a magical dream.
In the mystical realm of possibilities, where the boundaries of reality and chaos intertwine, a fascinating convergence occurred. In this captivating dance between moths and destiny, the butterfly effect unfurled its wings, weaving a tale of interconnectedness.

Ripples in the sand on a windblown beach.
First bit of fresh air I have gotten in a bit, as I am just starting to recover from a bad bout of Covid, compliments of the guy who coughed on me without covering his mouth.
I am trying something different. I had this idea the other day of combining two effects together to create something a bit more artistic.
Exit one world into another. I have some varying ideas.
Happy Slider Sunday
I saw the rising moon lighting-up the anvil canopy of a distant thunderstorm, and waited until the moon broke free. It created a nice effect.

It is always difficult to focus on a main subject and make the background blurry. If we use big aperture or small F number. The subject will not be completely in focus. That is why we use the focus stuck and combine at least five pictures together. The sun in the background creates special bokeh effect, and the lens type and post processing software create circular effect. I want to have better pictures, but it takes time and effort. Have a wonderful weekend.
I seem to have accidentally spilled in the whole bottle of depression into the mix.
Enjoy a little colour in the midst of the spoopy season. It'll do you good, I swear it.

Ah, we all remember the Marangoni Effect from physics class, surfactants, water etc...that explains the colors and shapes...
