Popped over to one of my favorite spots and was lucky enough that the conditions were almost perfect. Due to full moon the tide was higher and there was hardly any wind either so the water reflected the skyline better. Also bought a little platform just high enough to sit in the water with the lense just a cm above the water to maximise the reflections.

Two things that would improve this image. Shoot on a weekday to get all the office lights and NO wind whatsoever to get the perfect mirror image.

Image post processed in Photomatix. 7 exposures at F10, ISO 200 and focal length 24mm.

Burnt Meadow, Brownfield, Maine.

I don't know, I tried to take some foliage shots today at Burnt Meadow in Brownfield and they all turned out horrible.

I used two different cameras and the photos shot with both showed the same effect, the foliage is all fuzzy and distorted, maybe it was because of the harsh sunlight, I just don't know.

I apologize, my foliage photos are usually much better than this, I can't explain it !

Tell me all your lies

Play tricks on my mind

I don't care

I switched on the lights

You went on the side

I don't care

Why do you look so confused?

I know what you didn't do

You still want to play your games

I am wiser, I have changed

Yeah, and now the joke's on you

It's a side effect of love to lose control

Just to realize you're better on your own

It's a side effect of love to want it all

You can't get enough until the feeling is gone

The Butterfly Effect: the phenomenon whereby a small change at one place in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere, ex. how a butterfly flapping its wings in Rio de Janeiro might change the weather in Chicago.

Hey, Axel. What's new?

What's up, Miles? How do you like my new place?

New place? You're gonna live here?

Oh yeah. Just a few things to clear out. I'm concerned that there's mice though.

Yeah?

Yeah.I saw one.

How big?

Not big. Like from your wrist to your elbow.

Dude. You ever see a mouse before?

Well, no.

I hate to say this, but I don't think you have clear idea of what a mouse looks like.

Maybe not.

Definitely not.

Our daughter drew this salmon for her dad before she got married and gave it to him the day before her wedding day. He was thrilled and still uses it to this day. She and her husband got married June 1, 2005 I think. Dang it's tough getting old! It's hard to get it's full effect without showing the whole thing but she's a good artist. She's a school Librarian and before that she was a HS English Teacher.

Montreux, Switzerland. This is the view from the promenade that follows lake Geneva's shoreline. During this time of the year, there is a fantastic Christmas market along here. (You can just see some of the tents if you look carefully.) There was some fog about, which is why it's a little hazy. The pinkish clouds seem to be a result of pointing the lens pretty much into the sun. Left them like that, as I liked the effect, but in reality I don't remember them being that pink.

This is my first, I think I am to close.. to get the full effect.

This is a shot I've had in my head for a while and tonight in Chee Tor Tunnel No.1, I managed to box it off with the help of Paul Flood and Tim Gamble, thanks chaps!

Shot in one photographic exposure as usual, this is not a Photoshop creation. The shot involved mid exposure lens and tripod swaps.

Sunrise over the northern side of Little Bay, Sydney. What initially looked like a pretty bland sky suddenly generated some lovely light as the sun peaked, and an incoming tide provided some nice water flow over the shelf.

The "Butterfly Effect", or more technically the "sensitive dependence on initial conditions", is the essence of chaos.

This was a lot of fun to work on! Sascha and I love the greek classics and really vibed with the story of Achilles and Patroclus. We wanted to convey a concept of love and adoration that seems to freeze the world and stand the test of time. Something that seemed chaotic and serene all at once.
