The Valdosta-Lowndes Retired Educators Association meeting was held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Holiday Inn in Valdosta, GA. The legislators were present to answer questions before the business meeting and delicious lunch buffet was enjoyed by many.

AIRBORNE: The visit to the 34' Jump Tower was definitely one of the highlights of the Jacksonville BN Educator Tour. After a briefing from a Jump School Black Hat, the tour skipped Ground Week, phase 1 of paratrooper training, and went straight to phase 2, Tower Week, with some exciting results.
Educators get hands-on experience playing a game called "Who Can Harvest a Walleye" that shows how factors affecting lower parts of the food chain can affect higher levels as well.
