Longish exposure to bring out the maximum I could hope for from the Sun's Corona.
A shot taken in Svalbard, just outside Longyearbyen. Used an Oly E-M10 on an AstroProfessionnal 80ED Refractor. Pretty pleased with the results. :)

This view of the september 28 2015 lunar eclipse was taken at prime focus of a newtonian 200/800 telescope.
To resolve the coma aberration (no coma corrector yet), I stacked 100 frames together using registax freeware.

the sun was only very briefly out from behind the heavy cloud cover on Friday :-(
I snapped this and another but it never came back out...
I used my old 450d to get a better magnification on it..
10 stop used to keep the sun from blowing out
if you look close you can see a wee sunspot on the top left hand of the Sun.

While trying to get a few photographs of the Eclipse I managed to get a nice little shot of this copy of Belfasts Beacon of Hope sculpture.
Eclipse 2015 Time lapse Part 1 is a set of six sequence shot from a cloudy and misty Swanland, East Riding of Yorkshire. Time lapse part 2 will show the view over the Humber Bridge as the Eclipse was underway.
The central dozen or so images of the eclipse taken from Immingham Dock processed in Starstax.
I selected all the images from about 9:28 through to about 9:50 and then ran the stacking sequence with different spacings until I got a separation I liked.
Taken through a home made Baader solar film filter
