Echo was a nymph whose power of speech was curtailed by Hera, so that she merely repeated the concluding phrases of a speech and returned the words she heard. Hera did this because Echo, holding the goddess in long talk, prevented her to catch the NYMPHS who had been in company with her husband.

That whole house is devoted to karaoke - and actually Big Echo is a brand name that you will see all over the Tokyo (and I would hazard a guess that they are quite popular outside of that city too). There are a lot of karaoke places as such, and Big Echo is the biggest one. They are owned by the Daiichi Kosho Company (founded in 1973 - which specialises in karaoke equipment).

The "evening stack train" in Echo does not contain only ONE container even if the lettering pretends this. Also, two locos where present, one GE (AC4400CW 6635) and EMD (SD70M 5227).

The Echo Point Hut was built by the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service in 1962. Sitting in the final stages of the 82 km (51 mi) Overland Track between Cradle Mountain and Lake St Clair the often bypassed wooden hut remains in service in its original state and sleeps 8 people. Love Life, Love Photography

Echo is not a friendly beast. He usually hoots at people in a predictable pattern, trying to warn them away. This time, he seemed much calmer and allowed me to get close.

It was a good opportunity.

Memories of yesterday

they were a moment in time

A warm summer's breeze

the smell of fresh air

a dog barks, the birds sing

amidst the ...echoes of laughter.

Echo FINALLY got to experience a proper snowfall - at the age of 2 - Only problem is, it is officially Spring.....

Bon Echo Provincial Park, Ontario

When I woke on this morning, my back was aching badly. I'm getting way too old for tent camping even with an air mattress.

Anyway, I crawled out of the tent and headed for my car. My thinking was to drive away from the campsites and crank the heated seats to full in an attempt to put an end to my Quasimodo impersonation.

I didn't get very far before I saw this site.

The sun was just beginning to crest over the cliff edge at the lake and the fog looked amazing! There was a layer of it sliding along the water surface, sure. But up on the cliff top it was billowing up and then cascading over the edge like some freaky slow motion waterfall. Thinking about it now, I should have tried out the video function on my D600 as a still image can't capture what I saw that morning.

I was shocked that I was completely alone for this show as it really wasn't all THAT early and there are campsites less than 100 yards from here. Probably for the best though because I bet I looked pretty ridiculous scrambling around with my gear in "hunchback" mode.

The bells....the bells!

Cause my echo, echo

Is the only voice coming back

Shadow, shadow

Is the only friend that I have

www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aBbLEjehC4

Hello, hello

Anybody out there? Cause I don't hear a sound

Alone, alone

I don't really know where the world is but I miss it now

I'm out on the edge and I'm screaming my name

Like a fool at the top of my lungs

Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I'm alright

But it's never enough

I don't wanna be down and

I just wanna feel alive and

Get to see your face again

But 'til then

Just my echo, my shadow

You're my only friend...

i re-learn lessons again and again: treat myself with kindness; work from love not fear; stay with whatever arises—joy, grief, and everything in between. these echo through my life. and with each echo, i become more connected; more whole.

Well, I didn't scream underneath this small underpass but I have heard young kids screaming and shouting and it does echo in there and especially when the trains cross over above!!

In Moose Lake State Park. The actual Moose Lake is close to the park but not actually in it.

.............

By sunlight, by moonlight

By the stars that shine all night

Let the glow that burns so bright

Rise up deep inside.

By the power of east and west

By the warmth inside your chest

Let your head lay down to rest

You don’t need to hide.

By the love that holds your hand

By the wind, the fire, the land

Let the strength of soul expand

Leading you inside.

By the friends who keep you strong

By the will to carry on

Let them know that you belong

And take life in your stride.

U-3PO droid seem to be lost in the desert. Again.

And finally an addition to my toys album! I'm very happy way this turned out as this is all in-camera. There'a decent amount of realism, which makes this 3.75 inch action figure a bit more alive. I think, it also has a bit classic feel of the Original Trilogy, but that's just my two cents!

Hiking downriver from the campground in Echo Canyon I paused here to see if I could see any fish in the shallow canyon. I kicked myself for leaving the binoculars in camp. But then this view began to sink in and my appreciation of it deepened.

Some animals left their footprints in the sandy mud as came for their morning drink.
