HMS Echo is the first of two multi-role hydrographic survey ships commissioned by the Royal Navy. With her sister ship, HMS Enterprise, they form the Echo class of survey vessels. She was built by Appledore Shipbuilders in Devon in 2002[3] and is the ninth Royal Navy vessel to carry the name.
Echo Lake Foods has been a long time repeat client of Katt Construction. We have had a successful working relationship for over 17 years. Through the years we have completed numerous plant renovations and building additions.
Echo Lake purchased a former duck processing plant and partnered with Katt Construction to convert it into a high tech food production facility. Modifications to the existing plant included installation of spiral freezers, addition and modification to the new bread line, equipment foundations, trench drains, etc.
A 65,000 SF freezer and production facility was added. We worked with Echo Lake's manager Jerry Warntjes, facilitiies manager, Terry Repta, Summit Refrigeration and Delta Electric to design this project. The -10 degree freezer has an ethyl glycol heating system under the insulated concrete floor to keep the subgrade from freezing.
The refrigeration system includes a separate engine room and penthouse to house the evaporation equipment. The production room was designed as a semi-clean room with interior floor drains and liner panel to meet FDA requirements.
I missed most of this, but managed to catch a few pics of the final night. Echoes of Oz in Bradford City Park, by Irregular Arts.
With the intensification of the migratory crisis caused by the war in Syria, Hungary, Serbia and Macedonia close their borders to thousands of people fleeing, breaking an ancient migratory route: the Balkan route. In Greece, along the barbed wire of the Macedonian border, men, women and children gather in camps, in huge self-managed tent cities, where NGOs, volunteers and activists are challenging the game of mafias of human traffickers.
Echoes shows a limbo in which the desperation of a pending future contrasts with a vital and stubborn resistance, focusing her gaze on the day before the eviction of Eko Station, the last remaining informal camp in northern Greece. Through the frequencies of a pirate radio, words and rebel songs echo in the silence imposed by the Fortress Europe.

With record snowfall this past winter and spring, there's a lot of water in the High Sierra. For anyone who want's to risk traffic, the creek that leads out of Echo Lake creates a great waterfall.
Debbie and I celebrated our 30th anniversary by spending the day in South Lake Tahoe. For story, see my blog at 'Round the Chuckbox.

Made with Echo by Lotta Jansdotter and Kona Charcoal for the sashing and binding. The back is a fabric from Ikea. The pattern is by Sarah from Narcoleptic in a Cupboard and I am finally finished the Stained QAL. It is about 42" x 52".

This Toyota Echo created by Lasse Deleuran has instructions on his website: c-mt.dk. I really like vehicles that are completely covered by windows, so I decided to build it with the pieces I had. The model itself turned out to be way smaller than I thought it was!
Take a walk through time. Trace the path of the emigrants along the Oregon Trail. Echo Meadows was a popular “nooning” place where emigrants could rest themselves and their stock. Visitors can look at the interpretive signs then walk ½ mile on a paved path to see nearly one mile of intact wagon ruts, part of the primary Oregon Trail route from 1847 to1860. Throughout your walk to the wagon ruts you can stop and read the interpretive signs about the area and its history.
This day-use area has parking and a ½ mile of paved trail with interpretive signs. This awesome little piece of Oregon’s history is open year-round.
Nearby attractions are the City of Echo Fort Henrietta Park, city museum, and the Scenic old Umatilla River highway from Echo to Pendleton with one Oregon Trail highway wayside.
From Interstate 84, take Echo Exit 193, 5 miles west of City of Echo along Echo-Buttercreek Highway.
