From my old haunting grounds, Death Valley. One of my very first super-pano's sourced from the 5d mk II. Just dipped into my archives to take a break from all the painting and scanning. This is not the final form this image took, but it's still one I like very much. This is big country.

Went on a photoshoot with a work associate and took pictures of this little guy and his big brother. This is Echo, he is a husky mixed with wolf and malamute.
UP 5883 leads a loaded grain train through the small town of Echo, UT. In the background, the sign for Frank's Gas/Cafe/Motel can be seen. Once a bustling spot for travelers before Interstate 84 rerouted travelers from this gem of an American town.

Echoes of the past are everywhere you look. In Detroit even though the houses were torn 40 years ago, you still have these pieces laying around.
Mr Whippy parked at the Echo Wheel. Every time I go into the city the three vintage ice cream vans are parked somewhere different :)

Taken at Praia de Francemar, Miramar, Portugal.
Washed up after high tide. Done at ISo 100 105mm F11 and 1/200sec.
Lines of color overlap and dissolve into one another — a fleeting rhythm of light caught between order and distortion.
The image originates from an illuminated facade.
By moving closer, zooming in, and finally panning the camera during a half-second exposure, the static geometry turned into a living rhythm of light.
What remains is not architecture, but its echo — a fleeting dialogue between structure and motion.
all those beacons
sent out into the void
eager to meet someone
anyone
anything
hopeful of hearing
a friendly voice
an 'intelligent' voice
somewhere
anywhere
oblivious
to the intelligence
around us
pleading
waiting to be heard
some day
a voice shall return
friendly
or not
seeking a conversation
to be met
with only
our final echoes

This Echo and she is almost three years old now, she is a handful but it`s ok because she is the biggest baby lol. Here`s probably the best photo I`ve taken of her so I just wanted to share it
While cleaning up my hard drive, I've just stumbled upon a folder I'd created for photos I'd intended to post. Well, I never did! So, here are seven from that folder. I'll start with my good friend, Echo, the barred owl.
(Owls don't consider themselves to be anyone's friends!)
Yup, just a side view to show the backpack and the fin. The fin is not as bumpy as it appears. If you were to look at it in real life you wouldn't be able to see it. I'm not in denial it's the truth :P
Amidst bands of heavy clouds bringing equally heavy rain to the western front of the Wasatch, the area of Echo Canyon between Morgan and Stoddard is bathed in temporary light making a fine site to witness the passage of this westbound Union Pacific manifest train rolling downhill for Ogden and beyond.
