This patty or 'yatty' was filled with lentils - from Jahnet's Juices. They probably don't taste like regular Jamaican patties, but they're definitely healthier and I do like the nutty, slightly sweet wholewheat crust.

My essentials when passing through Kingston - Norman Manley International Airport - a veggie patty (the vegetable patties served up by the major producers aren't guaranteed vegetarian), blue mountain coffee, some Jamaican Ting.

We got her headphones

Pizza with dough made following the Alton Brown recipe from Good Eats - made the night before, and allowed to rise slowly in the refrigerator. Was expecting great texture, but that slow rise gives actual flavour. Regular rises don't taste at all unless you add herbs etc. This was great - crispy on the outside and chewy. Yummy.

We didn't have time for homemade sauce, but we used a great arabiata and something else.

Alton Brown's Good Eats Chili

This young male wild boar showed little hesitation in eating a dead rabbit (road kill) placed at the wallow in our garden in the South of France. He made short work of it, eating everything! Filmed on Spypoint Pro-X Plus

On an overnight trip to Bristol and South Wales in the early 70s, Howard Heyl and myself saw over half of the 101 Hymaks in one day!

*sigh* Will not be fooled by the Mystery Bag again.

I feel like Peter Griffin and the Mystery Box. Thankfully, I didn't pass up a boat.

This is my fav cafe in the world! Check out their website: www.petes-eats.co.uk/ and go visit there when you're next in Llanberis. Its a mecca for climbers, hikers, and Scuba Divers believe it or not. The Divers go there following dives at Vivian quarry in Llanberis.

The cup in the foreground is actually very large and not just the camera angle. It holds a pint of tea...now that's a proper brew!

This is the latest in my HDR-free series!

Bristol LH eats mechanic! Adam Barham replacing the LH's starter motor. Not easy when there's no inspection pit - appears to require advanced yoga knowledge!

The comma between the octopus and bean salad made it's arrival as just a salad a bit of a surprise.
