'Spring Grove'...sounds like a level out of vintage Sonic The Hedgehog but is actually a pub (and formerly renovated hotel) in lovely leafy Kingston. A short (but somewhat confusing) walk from Kingston Rail Station, The Spring Grove lives in an area quiet enough for me be able to stand in the middle of the road for long enough to take multiple pictures of the front (as you can see in the pictures)

It is some shade of gunmetal grey and stands a very noticeable 3 stories high at the end of Bloomfield Rd. It used to be the Spring Grove Hotel - and you can see - the building has some character and age. As for how It feels 'light' here in the main part, well designed for light to come through the various windows and a central skylight. How about human ambiance? The staff wear checked shirts and are young, probable students with minimal to moderate amounts of tattoos. One wears a Scroobius Pip t-shirt under her checked shirt. It's a chill, youthful atmosphere here. Maybe it's all that Kingston Uni shit rubbing off on the surrounding area?

As for the food and drink, they seem to be keen on Meantime's ales, along with, obviously, their own range of Young's beers. They could probably do better on the cider choices - they only have Aspall (not that there's anything wrong with Aspall). The food is basically pushing 'gastropub' (but perhaps not quite at THAT level of price and ATTENTION TO DETAIL). The Cote De Bouef platter shared between me and my buddy Adam was pretty legit (even though they told me they wouldn't do it blue). All in all it's not the most memorable or unusual pub I've been to, but for consistency, easygoing atmosphere, area (and a beautiful area it is)... plus that amazing garden - I would recommend it!

How do I see it, after years of getting involved? Superficial and far away from the initial idea it was generated from.

What is more, too many narcissism, endogamy, and in the end, too many pathetic attitudes, like the criticism some bears from Barcelona made to me about my first boyfriend - "oh, but he's not a bear!"

So, basically, I'm only a bear in shape, and if we think about the original concept that created the bear movement... but nowaday's bear's concept? Gimme a break, girl.

P.S.: I do HATE the word EASYGOING. When I see that on a profile, I run away.

BOOK 09

For the Love of Lilah

When Lilah Calhoun rescued professor Max Quartermain from a storm, she couldn’t deny her attraction to the mysterious stranger. Could Max’s shadowy connection to her family bring them closer together?

Seconds before dk hopped across the raging river of death to an island in the middle and then decided he couldn't get back off of it again. :)

The next day we went for a supershort hike in White River National Forest. It was pretty hilarious because we were still worn out from the day before, so we asked the lady at the visitor's center to recommend a nice, easygoing trail. Haha, this was nothing like a nice, easygoing trail. But it was still pretty and was not so much of a death hike as the previous day's excursion.

I had a few extra spots at the Spay/Neuter clinic so LIsa and I threw down some traps at Cooper Park Houses, just up the street from me. This guy, now called Graupel, was the first in. Despite the serious look, he's pretty easygoing for a feral.

GENEVA is a pretty, 4-5 month old Plott Hound/Pit mix puppy who’s very social and playful. She loves everyone she meets, likes her toys, and is playful with other dogs (since she can be a little rude with other dogs, she would be best placed with an easygoing, playful, male dog!). She’s very interested in food, so should be a wonderful puppy to train :-)Geneva will be lots of fun for an energetic, committed family who’ll enjoy giving her good exercise and taking her to puppy class.

Geneva lives in Kennel 15.

Atka is an Arctic Gray ambassador wolf (canis lupus) from the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, New York (www.nywolf.org). He came for a visit to the Spirit Gallery (www.spiritgallerytattoo.com/) in New London, CT, to be photographed and to just hang out. He is a beautiful animal and has an easygoing disposition (unless you make noises with your camera bag).

Sanur beach is a study of fisherfolk lined against the horizon paitently awaiting a catch standing tall. I was interested in swimming but that meant going into the horizon where the surfs (and fisherfolk) were. Instead i lay in the warm water to freeze the cool blue of this wonderfully easygoing afternoon on my camera.

Although normally fairly easygoing birds, today this goldfinch was seeing off other goldfinches for some reason.

Jason Anthony has been tattooing in the Phoenix area for over a decade. His easygoing nature, diverse skill set, and stunning good looks make him a treat to work with and to be around. When he isn’t busy making the Valley, nay, the entire state of Arizona a better looking place, you can find him avoiding responsibility and probably scheming ways to make Phoenix more like the Pre-Roman invasion of the British Isles. Until time folds on itself you can find him tattooing at his shop, Golden Rule Tattoo that he runs with his partners in business John O’Hagan and David Maxwell. Jason has managed to fumble onto a few awards, trophies, and plaques during his still burgeoning career and hopes that more people will think he’s better than he really is.

LULU is a very cute, perky Chihuahua mix who’s about 2 years old. She’s handleable and cooperative, loves everyone she meets, and also has a very playful side – she enjoys chasing a ball and really likes her toys. Since she’s a little bossy with other dogs, she would do best placed as an only dog or with an easygoing, younger male dog.

Lulu will be a great little companion for an active home.

Lulu lives in Kennel P6.

In March 2019, longtime volunteer outing leaders Lee Baker and Rich Taylor led an "easygoing" hike through the late winter woods at the Harris Center's Hiroshi Land in Peterborough. The group paused frequently to ponder wildlife tracks and sign, soak in the abundant March sunshine, and enjoy one another's company. A good time was had by all!

Pitcher is an all-around easygoing guy. He’s happy if you carry him. He’s happy if you pet him. He’s happy just to be in the same room, and he’s happy to patiently wait for you. I caught him looking a bit grumpy in some of these photos, but he'd just met me.

This group of four -- Toni G, Pitcher, Homer, and Fielder -- were named in the spirit of baseball because of how they came to us. They and a set of four young kittens were relinquished at the same time. The two sets of four were almost identical and got the nicknames the Majors and the Minors. About the only difference was that the older set had three boys and one girl while the younger set had three girls and one boy.
