We celebrated Easter in 1997 with Branden's family at Fort Hood, Texas.

Rayven was two years old. The twins, Natasha and David, were three months old.

Easter Sunday in Forest Park by the Jewel Box.

Easter fire is lit at Dominican House of Studies. Each year the student brothers have the responsibility of designing a pillar of wood which will be ignited as a symbol of the return of Christ, Light of the World. The Easter Candle which will be used at all masses for the coming year, is inscribed, and then lit from the flames of this new fire. Once the candle is lit, it will be used to light the candles of all present who will then process behind the Easter Candle bearer into the darkened Church.

On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Bishop David Walkowiak presided during Easter Vigil in the Holy Night at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew. Father René Constanza, CSP, rector of the cathedral, and Associate Pastors Father Bill Edens, CSP, and Father Michael Hennessy, CSP, concelebrated. Deacon Dennis Rybicki and Paulist Seminarian Deacon Michael Cruickshank assisted. The Vigil Mass included the Service of Light and catechumens and candidates of the parish were received into full communion with the Church.

Personally, this was a nice Easter. I'm blessed to I live in a country where we get the time off for BOTH Easter and Christmas. It's not the case for all the countries in the world. The "founding fathers" of Australia meant well and so ALL states have Good Friday and Easter Monday as public holidays. NSW has Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. I went out on Easter Sunday to Circular Quay, The Rocks and Rose Bay.

EASTER

They called him Mašíaḥ in the Hebrew; Chrīstós, from the Greek, meaning Christ - the Anointed One. He embodied everything that God is. His Mind, Logic, Wisdom, Heart, Grace and Love. In His Love for us, God becomes VULNERABLE.

Surely he took up our pain

and bore our suffering,

yet we considered him punished by God,

stricken by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions,

he was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was on him,

and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:4-5

So here's to you, Saviour God:

It doesn't matter that I don't get to do whatever I want, that I don't get to act how I feel and how it pleases me...because we have a relationship and that's INTIMACY. I understand why I'm here and I know THE MEANING OF LIFE. So Thank You.
