Preparing to take our Easter fare to the church for blessing. I've never done this before, so I am a bit worried whether I am doing it properly...
My mom and I made this together when I was 10 or so. I still remember shopping for the items and putting it all together! I thought my mom was a craft genius for coming up with this idea.

I loved making these when I was a little girl... twisting little bits of tissue paper on the end of my pencil and sticking them onto paper in the shapes of hearts, chicks and other animals :) blogged @ rosinahuber.blogspot.com/2011/04/fluffy-tissue-easter-chi...
Lots of people at the Easter bonfire in Norderstedt.
The fire department sounds seem to have gotten a little out of practice, it was the first Easter fire since the end of Corona and it smoked more than it burned. Now they know how to do it again and next year it will be better

Catholics celebrate Easter this week. It's a big celebration in my country. All schools, universities, goverment offices are closed the whole week. From Thursday to Sunday almost everybody is off and many people go to the beach. For many it's not a pious celebration, specially young people, who party all week by the sea. It's a good oportunity to spend quality time with family and friends.

On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Bishop David Walkowiak presided during Easter Vigil in the Holy Night at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew. Father René Constanza, CSP, rector of the cathedral, and Associate Pastors Father Bill Edens, CSP, and Father Michael Hennessy, CSP, concelebrated. Deacon Dennis Rybicki and Paulist Seminarian Deacon Michael Cruickshank assisted. The Vigil Mass included the Service of Light and catechumens and candidates of the parish were received into full communion with the Church.

Orthodox Easter is celebrated one week later than in Western Europe... but definitely still involves eggs!

This is a Easter (2017) coloring project I worked on.
Theme: Easter
Date: 4/16/17
Tools: Crayola Crayons
Time: 1 Hour & 28 Minutes
Note: This was done with Crayons on HP envelope paper. Instead of throwing the scrap piece away, I decided to see how it would look if I used it as a coloring page. Ugghh... not the best.
