On a pleasant Summer afternoon we stopped at Marine Park in Fort Langley. Right along the shore of Bedford Channel. I found a view of the Golden Ears Mountains I hadn't seen before! Lots of sun and nice cloud out today!

Art in nature, a flower with big ears ;-))

I forgot to make a shot when it was in full bloom. This year there were no flowers at all, due to the heavy rain…... maybe next year, we'll see.

Have a nice start of your weekend everyone!

Thank you all who fave and comment on my photo'/video's,much appreciated.

This doe is familiar with me and the look of surprise on her face was so comical to me because our paths crossed in a different area than normal and when I began talking to her she perked right up.

Over the years I have found some lovely ear cuffs. This one, with beautiful swirls and a freshwater pearl is my favorite. I usually find ear cuffs at Renaissance Festivals. This ear cuff measures 1.25" long. HMM, everyone ! !

▶ It's a closeup. The blossom is larger in the image than it was in 'real' life: ~ ⅕-inch (½-cm).

Is there any wonder why mule deer have such good hearing? Their gigantic ears help them to hear predators. There's no sneaking up on a muley!

Bounce flash used here to add in some light but keeping it from being too harsh. Also does not disturb those at rest ;)

A local scene of the Golden Ears Mountains in winter

Elephants may spread their ears when they are excited, surprised or alarmed and try to make themselves look bigger. They may also spread their ears to cool off by aerating the blood vessels in the ears which circulates cooler blood throughout the body.

This elephant cow was accompanied by her calf. It was so small it practically disappeared in the tall grass - maybe that's why she was vigilant.
