in opposition to the cuttingedge tech and imaginery we have been exposed at the #edcmooc i decided to capture some pics of casual technologies i could spot around my place. these are common artifacts that may have become obsolete or remain invisible due their extreme functionality or simplicity. they somehow make me recall my humble humanity. the rest of the images in the series: flic.kr/s/aHsjDYue6g
pictures have been taken with a simple compact camera and edited using Gimp, a free and open-source image edition software. www.gimp.org/
notice the images have a CC license attached so feel free to use them, maybe even in your final assessment, the famous "digital artifact".

Online education is a concept that emerged with the advent of the internet and has taken the world by storm. It provides students with feasible education and academic options. Especially for students from unstable or weak financial backgrounds can avail online education to pursue better academics and at the same time, keep their costs in check.

VIRTLANTIS is a free resource and open community of practice for language learners and teachers in the virtual world of Second Life®. We offer free informal language learning activities for a growing number of languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, etc. All of our activities are offered free of charge by volunteer language teachers and/or native speakers.
Everyone is welcome to offer a language activity at VIRTLANTIS. We provide free resources and ongoing support. We also collaborate with and promote other language communities in Second Life.
In addition to our main island and the various social meeting points at Knowingly, we have additional locations which can be used when needed.

Our new "Paradise Island" can be used free of charge by anyone who needs a private or public space for a large event (maximum 20 avatars). We gladly provide additional support and resources on an as needed basis. We can also modify the look and feel of the island to help create the ideal atmosphere for your event.

Junio 2010.- En la imagen, a la izquierda, Juan José Correa, Responsable de MT-School aparece acompañado por Marco González, Gerente de la oficina de Formación Digital en Chile, en el stand de nuestra compañía en el Hotel Intercontinental de Santiago de Chile donde se desarrolló la misión comercial organizada por Secartys. Finalizado el trabajo en Chile, Juan José Correa visitó Argentina donde tuvo la ocasión de seguir presentando la primera escuela on-line de hostelería y turismo a numerosas empresas e instituciones.
Diciembre 2010.- Financiado por el Fondo Social Europeo de la Unión Europea y el Servicio Andaluz de Empleo de la Consejería de Empleo de la Junta de Andalucía, promovido por ETICOM y contando con la colaboración de Formación Digital, en la mañana de hoy se ha presentado en Sevilla el estudio 2010 "Configuración de una red de información permanente para la actualización de la formación para el empleo en el sector de las TIC´S en Andalucía". El acto ha sido presentado por Luís Morón, Responsable de Formación de ETICOM y Rafael Hernández, Director de Operaciones de Formación Digital, siendo Olga O´Kelly, Responsable de Consultoría de Formación Digital, quien ha desglosado las líneas básicas del estudio a los asistentes. En los próximos días, la web de ETICOM ofrecerá el resumen ejecutivo del mencionado estudio a todo aquel que así lo desee.
Julio 2010.- Formación Digital, ya es "Agente Bulats". Así lo ha acreditado la prestigiosa Universidad de Cambridge al otorgarle la certificación "Business Language Testing Service", lo que la convierte en la única empresa que imparte formación on-line en obtenerla. A partir de ahora, los alumnos que aprenden inglés con el método "Cup of English" también obtendrán esta acreditación que destaca por ser una de las más demandadas tanto por los departamentos de Recursos Humanos de las empresas, como por su valor para acreditar el nivel de inglés de candidatos a oposiciones y masters.
