Flash-based self assessment tool for students studying in the Animal Health Surgical Assistant program at NAIT. The simulation leverages NAIT flash media server to deliver randomly selected video content for students to watch and assess if mistakes are made. For each video there are 2 to 4 possible videos which may or may not show an error. The review videos are chosen at runtime to show the student how well they did.
Randy's role: visual design and technical development of the Flash-based simulation application as well as custom development of video player using Adobe's OSMF video framework.

Die "Weimarer Republik" ist der dritte Teil aus der Projektreihe "Geschichte digital". Die Projektreihe vermittelt Schülerinnen und Schülern der 10. Klasse historisches Wissen und legt dabei besonders auf eine abwechslungsreiche Darstellung der Inhalte und einen hohen Interaktionsgrad wert.
Mit der interaktiven CD-ROM können Lernende die "Goldenen Zwanziger" miterleben. Als Reporter einer New Yorker Zeitung haben sie die Möglichkeit zu einem Interview mit Gustav Stresemann und können sich in der politischen Welt dieser jungen Demokratie umsehen. Wer mag, kann mit Marlene Dietrich eine Premierenparty besuchen, die neuen Tänze und Moden kennen lernen oder erfahren, was an Bertolt Brechts Theater so revolutionär war.
Viele Spiele und Aufgaben regen dazu an, das Erlernte im Lexikon oder der Geschichtsagentur zu vertiefen.

There is emphasis on the very young girl with the candy cigarette and there is contrast between the girls white dress and cigarette with the dark background. This photo is also a 6 because it is visually appealing because of the young girl looking so serious with a cigarette instead of playing like a normal kid.
