A bike, a basket and ye olde fashioned dynamo.

The Dynamo is an aggressively angled starfighter, named for its ridiculous leaps forward in self-sustaining power. While it might not be the ideal ride for planet-hopping, she's certainly capable. That's what the twin snack pods are for.

This is the first model I've really felt proud of. The build has the perfect amount of structural stability to support its awkward shape. The landing gear is actually functional, with the back legs twisting up to become part of the rear greebling. Oh, and the cockpit does seat a pilot, I just haven't given it one yet.

The Dunwich Dynamo is a challenging free-entry overnight 120 mile bicycle ride on-tarmac from London Fields in Hackney, London to the Suffolk beach at Dunwich. We will return via the organised coach/trucking.

It’s not a race. It’s unsupported. There’s no van following. It’s a long way. It starts at around 20:00 tonight. It's quite an adventure.

Later I will cycle from home to Leicester station, board the train and arrive at St Pancras around 5pm. The train journey is very efficient covering the 100 miles in just over 1 hour. I always enjoy arriving at St Pancras, such a wonderful station.

Here is most of the stuff one needs, along with a mandatory bicycle of course.

- Bag to put it all in

- iPhone

- Battery pack and cables

- Mains charger

- Camera

- Keys with mini Swiss penknife

- Money - cards and cash

- Lightweight lock

- 2 x Water bottles

- Painkillers

- Tissues

- Hand sanitiser

- Voltarol

- Train tickets

- Return coach/truck tickets

- Route sheet + pegs

- Puncture repair kit

- Pump

- Multitool

- Backup LED lights

- Lightweight jacket

The T-14 Dynamo is a dynamic IFV to carry multiple soldiers into a designated area and provide support for troop movements under fire.

Has an auto cannon with countermeasures controlled safely remotely by the crew of the Dynamo.

This vehicle carries up to a squad of troops and contains a driver and an A-Driver/gunner.

WIP but this is the basic idea. The Running Man. Anybody seen Kim Dot Com DJing lately? Reminds me of Dynamo in this movie.

The Mersey Dynamo works of McClure & Whitfield appears to have originated in a foundry business called Cameron Pearson which was merged into McClure & Whitfield in 1892 and became one of the first electrical engineering companies in the world, manufacturing dynamos. McClure & Whitfield installed the first electrical lighting powered by one of their dynamos on the Embankment in 1897, it also supplied the navy through 2 world wars with steering and drive motors for submarines, surface ships and indeed for mulberry harbour. In 1946 the business partnership existing between David McClure and Robert Brotherton Whitfield dissolved but the business continued. The company still exists and is still a private company owned by the family trading as Piggott and Whitfield Ltd, based in the North-West and in the City of London, installing mechanical, electrical, control and data systems into commercial and industrial properties all over the UK and beyond.

History:

Jason Knox was an extremely talented young man who was both intelligent and physically gifted. His athleticism earned him a scholarship at NPU where he majors in chemistry. His plans to turn pro after his senior year were sidetracked by an accident during a science field trip. Over time, Jason began to exhibit special powers randomly each day. His skin turns a golden hue when using his powers and seems to work at varying degrees. He has exhibited the following powers so far: enhanced strength, armor like skin, control over electricity and fire, flight, lightning speed, phase through objects, regeneration, telekinesis, and telepathy...so far. The citizens have taken to calling him Dynamo, and he doesn’t mind being a show off to the public. Unsure of what powers he might be dealing from one day to the next, he continues to brave the challenge of taking on the city’s criminal underworld.

Did my first shoot in a studio with a pro model. This was one of the results. It made it so much easier shooting with a model, who could pose.

Created by Anton Vanko, Crimson Dynamo is the USSR's answer to Iron Man!

I've always liked the Armored Adventures idea of the Dynamo being a massive spacesuit, so sort of went to town with the idea.

Updated Dynamo cartoon. A fun character who isn't in costume often in the comic.

At the Philly Bike Expo, Bryan showed me his use of a fender eyelet bolt and L-bracket to mount his dynamo rear light. I employed a similar mount on my touring bike. Now the light is super secure and out of the way from bags.

Plenty of illuminated cyclists and some passing through the village of Leaden Roding (pronounced 'Roading') in the County of Essex at dusk during the 26th annual 'Dunwich Dynamo' (DD XXVI) overnight cycle ride from London Fields to the seaside town of Dunwich in Suffolk (UK) on July 28th/29th 2018.

Around 2000 plus riders tackle the 120 mile or so overnight ride out of London, into the country lanes of Essex and finishing 10 to 12 hours later (give or take) in the morning on the shingle beach at Dunwich.

This is a very demanding ride even for experienced cyclists. There are no winners or losers in the Dunwich Dynamo. The ride itself is completely unsupported and taking part is the only renumeration.

It was also a pleasure to bump into keen cyclist and fellow flickr contact Mr Steven Brandist here who was participating in his fourth 'Dun Run' ride.
