Sometimes drama and motion can be seen and 'felt' even when none actually exists. If you think about this colorful blossom blowing in a strong wind, You can almost experience it.
Truth be told, though, it was completely calm, and the petals had just progressed to this point in the flowers lifespan.

A member of Swedish Ultraflyers flying over my head the other day. The plane is an Aerospool WT9 Dynamic. They have their base at Frölunda gård near Kungsängen, (North of Stockholm).
The weather has been dull and very cold - not great for photography so here's one from the archives.
Another HDR, although this time you can clearly see it is. Three exposures at -1, -0.5 and 0 from a single RAW, all pulled into Photomatix and Tone mapped until it looked how I wanted. Then off into Photoshop where I added a Selective Colour layer to remove some of the harsher colours, added a duplicate Overlay layer with a Gaussian blur and reduced the opacity to soften the whole image a little, then dodged across the bridge and burned in some of the cloud.
If the sky in London did actually start to look like this, I think I'd head for the hills.

An important thing to remember is that even though pixel sizes keep getting smaller and smaller, the technology is advancing, so the smaller pixels are more efficient at collecting light. For instance, the Sony A7rII is back-illuminated which allows more photons to hit the sensor. Semiconductor technology is always advancing, so the brilliant engineers are always improving the signal/noise ratio. Far higher pixel counts, as well as better dynamic ranger, are thus not only possible, but the future!

View your artistic mission into photography as an epic odyssey of heroic poetry! Take it from Homer in Homer's Odyssey: "Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who travelled far and wide after he had sacked the famous town of Troy. Many cities did he visit, and many were the nations with whose manners and customs he was acquainted; moreover he suffered much by sea while trying to save his own life and bring his men safely home; but do what he might he could not save his men, for they perished through their own sheer folly in eating the cattle of the Sun-god Hyperion; so the god prevented them from ever reaching home. Tell me, too, about all these things, O daughter of Jove, from whatsoever source you may know them. " --Samuel Butler Translation of Homer's Odyssey

The 45EPIC landscapes and goddesses are straight out of Homer's Iliad & Odyssey!
I'm currently updating a translation with the Greek names for the gods and goddesses--will publish soon! :)
"RAGE--Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Zeus fulfilled from the day on which the son of Atreus, king of men, and great Achilles, first fell out with one another. " --Homer's Iliad capturing the rage of the 45EPIC landscapes and seascapes! :)

A Young Man Being Introduced to the Seven Liberal Arts is a painting by the famous Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli (circa 1483-1486).
The painting and its companion piece, Venus and the Three Graces Presenting Gifts to a Young Woman, originally decorated Villa Lemmi, a country villa near Florence
A Young Man Being Introduced to the Seven Liberal Arts depicts a young man, perhaps Lorenzo Tornabuoni, led by a personification of Grammar into a circle of allegorical figures representing the Seven Liberal Arts. Presided over by Prudentia, the circle also includes Rhetoric, Logic, Arithmetic, Geometry, Astronomy and Music, each recognizable by means of various attributes. In antiquity, the liberal arts denoted the education worthy of a free person and the painting therefore testifies to the young man's broad education.
Both painting were discovered at Villa Lemmi in 1873 under a coat of whitewash and removed from their original location. They are currently housed in the Musée du Louvre, Paris(Wikipedia)
