The last three stripes of my grand self-striping sock yarn masterpiece are almost done...

Rinsing the excess dye away in the shower, using water which is approximately the same temperature as the wool, to avoid felting.

More of the recycled sweater. The back I kept together to make some self striping yarn. I then ran it through the wheel to give it a little twist.

Photograph taken along the route of the M11 Link Road (now the A12 between Redbridge Roundabout and Hackney Wick) between Leytonstone and Leyton stations in December 1993.

Dyers Hall Road was largely demolished in the course of the roadbuilding: it now consists of two stubs, the shorter one suffixed with 'South', with a footpath and cycle lane that runs alongside the wall of the A12.

Dyeing my hair purple

This Gems Opal was dyed in a workshop setting using Lanaset dyes in an electric skillet. We warped the color sections then dyed them. I love it!

All of our fiber/yarn in the sink soaking before dyeing.

Chemical dye, Urea water, Soda Ash, and Agar thickener on unbleached cotton.
