I dye more like a painter as I paint with a brush the dye mix onto my prefelt and fabric.all folded up
My first results from the dyeing section of my Fibers class. Procion MX dyes, cold mix, on muslin. The top pattern reminds me of Triforces.
...and tea...and iron modifier.
So I made up an iron liquor and modified the skein to sadden the colour and turn the yellow into an olivey green. It's hard to photograph, but there's flecks and undertones of olive green through-out the brown. I LOVE IT!
It was a (rare) sunny day, so why not line them up on the windowsill? The green ones on the right have since been overdyed with sapphire blue and gold ocher to give them some more dimension.
